We are new to the clarington area and with that, new first time home owners. We have never had to get repairs done on anything and did our research before choosing Hanks. I was able to schedule online, which was amazing. They came 2 days later right within their expected window. Their website clearly indicates their rates so I knew what we were going to be expected to pay, which is extremely reasonable. He came and inspected our dryer. He had all the parts needed to fix any problem since They ask for make and model upfront. Within an hour he diagnosed and replaced the heating element. It works

Do yourself a favour and call someone else. We had them fix our fridge. They removed some ice from the ice maker and realigned a pipe. Great. 5 days later the entire fridge/freezer failed. SY Ef error. Water all over the kitchen (same symptom as the first call). This time the food was all wasted.
So, I email again and they rescheduled. They can't tell you when a tech will arrive so my wife takes the day off work. At 7:05PM the night before the scheduled arrival, we receive an automated message saying the tech will arrive the next day between 4pm and 8pm. Even Rogers can tell you many days earlier

They send magicians not technicians .. they do not answer phone call when you call them but do give a call back or reach out to via email. The appointment system is all automated.. there's a tracker available as well to see when will technician arrive.. the technician arrived in time and was able to identify an issue that we had been dealing with for almost 2 years where washer would get stuck in spin cycle .. he fixed the issue and no time and till date i cant believe that it really happened .. i wouldn't say its cheap but it will definitely be less than half of the new appliance. My parents have used this shop for years so I was happy to hear that they would be sent to fix my dishwasher by my extended warranty program. That was late in December 2010. They came and 'fixed' it finally in March when the parts supposedly came in after numerous calls. One week later it was doing the same thing. When I called back they said the delay before was because they had to wait for the warrant company to ok the repair but the repairman hadn't closed the file so he would be back out the next day to assess/fix the problem. The tech came and said he had to order 3 parts
