We placed an order online, so can't comment on the store or employees.
There's no doubt that these desserts are made of high/good quality ingredients. You can taste the richness for sure. The desserts look amazing as well and smell great too.
I'm deducting 1 star because two of these desserts were unbelievably sweet. The sweetness bothered my teeth so I couldn't finish it. I wish the sweetness gets reduced a little.
The rest of the desserts were very good and definitely looking forward to trying more and ordering more from this bakery. I'm attaching my order list for anyone who wants to know

Over the weekend, my aunt picked up some sweets for my family from Serano Bakery in North York, Toronto. It is a well-renowned 1994 bakery specializing in European pastries, desserts, custom cakes, and imported fine foods. What I love about this place is that it is a family-run business with promises to ‘deliver the freshest products made from wholesome ingredients’. We got many Minis pastries including the Mango Square ~ with Vanilla sponge and mango cream, topped with a mango glaze; Mini Mille-Fueille ~ layers of puff pastry with custard cream, topped with icing sugar; Trigona ~ Filo dipped

Huge selection of amazing baked goods. All sorts of cakes and pastries, and a little specialty cheese & oil section. The cheesecakes are delicious and super dense. Prices are very reasonable.
Service is quick and well organized, even on busy days with a line out the door - there is a ticket system, and you go up when your number is called.

Both the times I've been there so far, the service has been great. First time, bakery was closing and couldn't buy anything so the gentleman gave me a free loaf of bread! Second time, called ahead in the afternoon and was able to hold an Olive bread $3.75 (only 2 was left) and pick it up along with Taramosalata $4.28 per small container, Spinakopita $3.50 and Nutella cake Slice $3.75. Bread was soft and light crispy crust. Taramosalata was a little too salty but creamy, still good. Spinakopita perfectly flaky and really delicious. Yet to try the cake, soon! I was afraid of CS and crowdedness due

My go-to place for baklava - best I’ve had. Huge selection of pastries, cakes, breads, and Greek classics. The bakery gets quite busy (it’s a very popular spot on the Danforth) and there’s limited parking, so be mindful of that.

There are many places that have many types of baklava. My favorite type is the heavy meaty type that you can sink your teeth into, and feel the delicious flavor melt out of.

These are things that we do not normally get to experience in baklava, as so often they are dry and light. That is not the case here.

This may not be the baklava you are after, but if your tastes are the same as mine, it is the only baklava you will ever want again.

I went there just for their Almond Cookies, we usually make them in Libya and wanted to try the greek version. It was good with extra flavour of orange blossom water. I ended up getting butter cookies and pistachio baklava; both were good. However, the baklava was so sweet and soft not crispy because they added so much honey. It’s very crowded with limited parking spots. Nice staff. Overall a must visit ❤️

Ordered via Instacart for delivery. 100 % satisfied with everything.
The bakery goods are exceptional ( loukoumades, fruit tarts, etc.) Grocery items are high quality also (premium olive oil, oregano, honey, Greek feta, etc.)
And they have an excellent Covid protocol that is employee-centric and goes above and beyond most businesses.

Easily the most popular bakery in the area, there always seems to be a line ~20 people long at some point of the day to get into Serano. And for good reason: while I may not like all of their offerings, everything that I've tried so far has been good quality at pretty reasonable prices. My favourties are easily the chocolate cake (moist and chocolatey without being overly heavy) and nutella cake (light and airy, with a good amount of nutella spread around to give it weight).

Tip: You can order pickup - that window usually has a much shorter line. Of course, maybe do that at your second visit

These desserts were phenomenal! Their strawberry short cake was very moist and their cheesecakes were decadent. I loved their red velvet cheesecake as it was unique and rich in tasting. Their cream filled pastries were great as well. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the caramel cake.

I ordered these two cakes through ubereats. Serano had a great setup where they had s separate window for ubereats pickup. The wait took 15 minutes from ordering to pick up. Each of the cakes were $3.75 and they came in a very lovely package.
There wasn't anything spectacular about these cakes. The strawberry shortcake could have had small chunks of strawberries between each of the cream layer. There was only one strawberry on the cake and it was pure cake and cream. The Tiramisu slice was all sponge cake, it's not your traditional cake with lady fingers. There was only a hint of the

One of my favorite bakery in the East End, Serano Bakery makes the best Baklava Pistachio/ Chocolate, Mille-feuille and Baklava Cheesecake!
Their prices are also very reasonable and all of their treats are not cloyingly sweet so you don't even feel guilty eating one ... or two.

So I ordered the valentines smash cake, obviously for a valentines dinner with my partner for Feb 13. Paid and provided instructions that cake can be left at the concierge. It did not arrive. Called bakery, was told that delivery guy called 2x, i said i missed 1 call and no message was left. Was told that policy is they cannot leave orders at conceirge. (Really? During covid times?). Sadly, Vday dinner ruined... what's the point of ordering specialty items in advance then? Poor service. Disappointing. Staff cannot make a decision and i was informed that they will ask owner what to do or call

Serano bakery is a very popular spot on Pape Ave, evidenced by their socially distanced lines that curve around the block for their wares, especially during holiday season. They do both traditional and international pastries and treats, with a prominent Greek bent well represented.

The loukoumades (crispy fried dough balls soaked in syrup) were the best for me. Reminded me slightly of the gulab jamuns I'm used to at Indian places, but in this rendition of a dessert, the dough balls had a very crisp exterior, and the texture of the crunch is what pushed this over the edge for me.

I wanted to get a sweet for someone and decided to try Serano Bakery. Good decision! I ordered tiramisu, baklava and a frozen spanakopita for delivery. Everything arrived nicely packaged and at the right temperature. The best part was the food. Deserts were delicious and moist, the savoury pockets were perfect and easy to heat, and I was surprised by how many there were -- 15 appetizer size pieces, enough to share with three or four people. I have bookmarked the bakery and it will be my go to for European pastries. It's a bonus to find a bakery to order sweet and savoury together, something

I ordered these cakes via Ubereats.

They were well packaged and no cake was damaged during the delivery.

The strawberry shortcake was so soft and moist. The only thing I would like more of is STRAWBERRIES! But I should just get a whole
cake next time.. haha

The baklava cheesecake was so soft and smooth, it was probably the BEST cheesecake I've ever had.

After seeing another Yelper's photos of this place, I knew I had to bookmark Serano Bakery and check it out. Funny enough, I happened to be in the area over the weekend so there was no excuse for me not to visit.

Walking into the bakery, my mouth was salivating with all these sweet desserts in front of me!! I didn't immediately grab a number because I wanted my time to explore the shop. Apart from their cakes, sweet pastries, baklava, cookies, biscotti, chocolate, and gelato, they also have a "grocery" section where you could buy authentic Greek products. I loved when I saw

Serano Bakery is a neighborhood staple. I had visited it twice since discovering its bakery goodness. I have a feeling Serano was blessed by the Greek goddess for baklava; Bakladite (I totally made it up).

Both my friend and I both love their baklava. Serano Bakery offers baklava of different shapes and sizes, from bueno, to walnut. I had the mini crushed almond baklava and she opted for the mini pistachio version (by weight, ranges from $1 - $1.50 each). They were crisp without being overwhelmingly sweet. It's the perfect mini treat without inducing guilt!

We also shared a small gelato

Love Serano Bakery's little bite sized desserts.

Great to pop in and get a dozen of different colours/flavours when visiting friends or entertain at home.

Make sure to get a number from the machine even when you are the only one customer there. The ladies working there would think you are not going to purchase anything if you don't get a number.

The little cakes though are not the fancy quality but at this price I could not complain too much.
