The Carleton Sport Medicine Clinic is available to consult on patients with various musculoskeletal issues and is involved in the education and teaching of physicians and patients. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of athletic injuries with emphasis on patient care, education and research.

As physiotherapists we coordinate a comprehensive treatment plan through consultation with each patient's orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialists to ensure a fully integrated recovery plan.A physiotherapy assessment is required by all patients on your first visit, for a new injury or to re-assess an existing injury post 60 days.

Living a balanced and happy life involves attending to your mental health as well as your physical health. While we are better at recognizing when something is wrong with our body, psychological and emotional distress tend to be invisible to others, and more challenging to recognize in ourselves. Learning about these issues and how they affect your overall health is an important step in seeking help when you need it.

Believe the bad reviews. They are bias as to whom they can help. Can someone explain to them that its through ohip and its not there private practice. The reception is will not send you a email with the receipt so there is no point in trying to save trees. They will laugh in your face for no reason whats so ever. Only thing the doctor ever offers is physiotherapy. Doctor won't send off referral even send you for any kind of imaging. The only reason they are getting two stars is because of Dr. Waters. Very good doctor.

My PT was Tony Revitt. He didn't seem to know what he was talking about (or even care). The Acupuncture I received was painful and seemed like a good way for him to waste time during my appointment. Save $75 and and type in "Athleanx" followed by whatever body part is hurting you on youtube. That's how I found the perfect Psoas and calf stretches.

I cannot say enough good things about the treatment that my family and I have received at Carleton Sports Med. Dr. Braidwood is the kindest, most caring knowledgeable doctor that you could ask for. Dan Clement is a simply outstanding physiotherapist. He is my pit crew. He keeps my aging vehicle on the track. The reception staff could not be any nicer. I would rate my experience there as 6 of 5.
Many thanks, Robert Erwin

Hi I'm the guy with the basketball hat 🤠. Good clean spot with all the equipment. Only issue is the parking, no free parking even during the covid lockdowns. I paid $4. Saw lot lot of cars without any parking slips, but online (university of carleton website)it doesn't mention anything about parking for sports medicine center.

Tore my ACL in January and had my surgery mid July. I have been seeing Anna for physio since January and she is AMAZING. She is very informative, knows her stuff and I never feel rushed during my appointments. Anna is supportive and understanding and she has made a painful experience way more pleasant. I would rate my physio experience as 5/5. Anna is great.
(This rating is for their physio staff only. I had a bad experience with one of their doctors [0/5] who said I was “borderline injured” and barely gave me the time of day during appointments. I had to switch doctors to be treated with

Very good experience here with Sports Med and Surgeon consults. Dr Taylor is a great resource to diagnose and refer to specialists.
Physio was not great. Expect your physiotherapist to be seeing multiple people at once, and to spend much of your visit hooked up to machines. Okay if you just want a basic recovery protocol post-surgery, but if you are interested in a more advanced recovery protocol geared for performance, I'd look elsewhere.
Also had a scary incident where an unsupervised physio student was allowed to do manual testing on my shoulder in a vulnerable position, 6 weeks after labrum

I was referred here after tearing a muscle in my leg. I went in for a consultation because the ER doctor said it was necessary and would be refunded by REMQ. While my visit with the doctor was positive, it only resulted in a prescription to see a physiotherapist somewhere else. The receptionist had originally told me it would cost $40. However,… when I went to pay I was charged $80 because I was there on a referral. I complained about the price difference but the receptionist only repeated that that was how it was done. She said the fee was higher because they needed to send my results to

My experience at Carleton university sports med clinic has been nothing but a positive experience. I have gone there for a few different sport related injuries and have always been completely satisfied with the service. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I got appointments promptly, the doctors I saw were thorough in asking questions, were able to get me the MRI's/X-rays I needed in a timely manner and I got the results back quickly with options on how best to address my injuries.
I have also referred family and friends and they too have had positive experiences and were very pleased
