Origyns Medical Clinic was founded in 2015 when Drs Amankwah, Rousseau and Shabib decided to unite their strengths to provide all aspects of obstetrical and gynecological care under one roof. Having been part of the same call group delivering OBS/GYNE care at the Ottawa Hospital- General Campus for over 20 years, they were well aware of their common vision for integrated women's health services.

2018 is an exciting year! Origyns Medical Clinic welcomes Dr Alavi and Posner who are also both general obstetrician/gynecologist practicing at the Ottawa Hospital-General Campus. Dr. Yaa Amankwah is an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Ottawa Hospital.

Terrible administrative staff. There is no way of actually speaking to someone on the phone. They do not respond to emails.
It’s really too bad since the doctor I spoke to was very nice and caring.
If you have to option I would not get involved with this place.

I spent 12 years in discomfort & medically unwell because no one would take me seriously…

Yeah, all doctor offices get a bit laggy with phones and emails. This one is pretty good tbh. In terms of gyne care, the doctors are professional, it's got an ultrasound place right in the building, and they take my questions and concerns seriously. They provide a valuable service and can always slot me in at a good time. They do what they advertise, and efficiently.

Dr Amankwa is an amazing doctor, very patient and listens to my concerns without judgement. The staff are very professional and friendly as well and it helps that they have an ultrasound office next door and a lab few mins away.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Elfazari yesterday and truly felt (for the first time in awhile) that my well-being and gynecological health were a real priority. He was so knowledgeable and took the time and care to explain my condition and options to me in a way that was clear and understandable. He delivered two of my grandchildren, Isaac and Kamila. Both deliveries were complicated. My daughter was in good hands with him in both cases.
