On Thursday afternoon I ordered a taxi to take me from Millshaven to Capilano. There was no driver/passenger divider and the driver asked me for $20.00 before he would get underway. I have never heard of such a thing. He explained that customers ask for transportation to Edmonton, then flee before paying. I am a 88 year old woman and could not "flee" if my life depended on it. During the journey he assailed me with his opinions about the COVID crisis. I think he said it was a government plot and the virus didn't exist. I have used this taxi service many times without problems

After waiting for AMA for 2 days, I decided to look for another company to boost our car battery. Found online that the cab does battery boost. Called and asked them for rate. Was told $25 flat rate on the phone. Arrived in 15mins. First he offered to drive us to the doctors apt which my daughter refused and said please let's first boost the battery. After starting, he asked for $30 then when she started to pay..hiked it to $45. My daughter told him that you quoted only $25 for boost. We think just because seeing women he may have tried to hike the rate. So please be aware if you are requesting

I used Astro today for a short trip from the mall to the transit station. The car arrived a few minutes before I had asked them to arrive but he waited patiently and didn't try and charge me anything for the wait time. The car itself was in great shape with everything looking and smelling clean. The driver was a nice older gentleman who was very honest and used the best possible route in getting to the transit center versus taking a longer route to collect more money (I wish I could find this kind of honesty in Edmonton). All in all it was a great trip and my only minor issue was the difficulty

I recently took a cab and paid by card the driver said it did not work then took cash instead turns out it did work and I paid twice. When I noticed this error I called in was hung up on once then the second time told that they don't know who my driver was and since I didn't know the cab number that he can't do anything. I provided him with pick up and drop off locations and time but he said they don't keep a log and started getting aggressive. I do not recommend this company as that is very shady to do to a customer.
