WOW! I could not be more impressed with this Shop. This service was ABOVE AND BEYOND. Suffice to say i will be going there exclusivley whenever in Nanaimo.
-I got a flat tire heading out of nanaimo with a bike trailer. i unfortunatley was out of all spares/tubes and intened on making it back to Victoria after a long trip. I phoned around hoping there was a mobile service, and was declined by everyone EXCEPT Pacific Rim. They dont have a mobile service, but Tristan one of the Bike Techs there offered to drive to me after his shift with all the parts required to do a tubless tire service. He arrived

I was on the annual mountain biking trip with the guys on Vancouver Island when I dented my rim very badly. My wheel was destroyed. I phoned around Nanaimo and Duncan to various bike shops looking for a solution, and Trystan at Pacific Rim Bicycle provided the best service I could find in Nanaimo and he was able to rebuild my wheel within the day to get me rolling again with the rest of our crew. They provided outstanding service and understood that I needed to get my wheel fixed quickly so I could ride with the rest of the guys. I strongly recommend Trystan and Pacific Rim Bicycle for their outstanding

I bought an ebike and they gave me a good deal. I went back and bought an ebike carrier for my bike. The customer service was great. Tristan was knowledgeable and he knew his products well. I will go out of my way to go back there. Thanks Tristan. OK....so I have gone back several times in the past year after my purchase of an EBike. I had an issue with a bike I bought at a big box store thinking that I was going to have to buy another one. No problem Tristan went the extra mile again. I got my bike back with an improved Throttle on it, my store bought bike is awesome. So I could go on and on,

Found out my daughter had a biking activity at school and parents were invited and i needed my bike tuned up and tires aired etc. Really wanted to surprise her especially since we hadn't ridden together before. So I phoned around town and everyone is booked for a week. These guys said they might have it done in time that day by noon. So I hurry… to the shop and give the guy my bike. I'm browsing around the shop looking for a helmet and locks and by the time I'm done shopping he's already got my bike tuned up for me. Since I bought a few things the tune up was for free too.

I've been here a few times and the customer service has been luke warm at best. I had a wheel built there and they did such a crap job that I think I'll be better off rebuilding the wheel myself instead of taking it in for a warranty repair. Spoke tension ranges from normal to zero, with half the spokes being zero. Plus I asked for a road specific… brake caliper, was sold a mountain bike caliper and when I realised what I had was told it didn't make a difference. Being able to stop while going down hill is a great thing, I'm glad I went somewhere else for the parts I needed. I don't need
