Parksville has a historical legacy of offering picturesque accommodation choices paired with incredible natural vistas. The Beach Club Resort is proud to be part of this legacy, as the resort has been built on the former site of the famous Island Hall Resort. The Island Hall opened in 1917, built by British entrepreneurs Joan Foster and Winnifred Philpott who came to Vancouver Island at the start of World War One.
The resort then became one of Parksville's flagship accommodation destinations for the next 80 years. The Island Hall proudly hosted guests from around the world, including Queen Elizabeth II and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the International Mediation Society. The Beach Club Resort, which opened it's doors in the spring of 2008, now features an extensive Island Hall memorabilia wall on the main floor.

My husband and I ate here on the first night of our honeymoon as we had some vouchers from the hotel attached to this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. We ordered the platter of hummus and pita breads as an appetizer and it was delicious! I ordered the vegetarian lasagna and it was out of this world. Would definitely recommend! It was too cold to sit outside during our stay here, but I imagine in the summer, it must be beautiful to sit outside on the patio with the beach in front of you!

Beautiful view from this Restaurant service is very very slow. Food was excellent however had not planned to wait an hour and a half for 2 appetizers. Waitress refused to permit us to move onto the patio even though we requested this prior to seating she permitted 2 other tables to move to patio who appeared not to have asked to move as we had. They just moved themselves.

If you want a steak, this isn’t the place for one. Ordered a medium-rare NY Striploin and received a well-done one. Though offered to be replaced, I declined as I waited for an hour for this well-done one. Maybe the chef forgot he’s cooking a steak.
Also followed Google Map there that showed it was open at 11:10 am, but actually closed from 10:45 am to 11:30 am. Also server let others jump the queue while I waited patiently to be seated.

I would love to tell you our meal was great, but i can not. The service was ok, nice patio. ordered the tomahawk steak, medium rare, comes with mashed potatoes and veggies. The steak was not seasoned well at all, over cooked and cold. it was supposed to be medium rare more on the rare side, came well done, go figure for a $170 meal you would think they would know how to cook a steak. the potatoes were OK at best, steak came with 2 sauces which was a powdered gravy mix and the other some weird mustard sauce. Was hoping for a great dining experience and wanted to support local restaurant but I do

My Daughter and I decided to have lunch beside the beach. Haley, our server, greeted us, showed us our table overlooking the beach, told us the Specials of the day.
We ordered our selection and enjoyed the ambience.
The meal was delicious, Haley was attentive. We had Seafood Chowder and shared Kalamari, with white wine.
A very nice experience.

Had a terrible experience with this vendor! Booked them for my wedding 2 years in advance. COVID hit, fiancé and I lost our jobs at 1. 5 years in. They weren't responsive in the 6 months after we signed as to questions I had about the venue. Then once Covid hit we decided to take the hit on the deposit and cancel until our finances were more predictable. At first they told us we couldn't. Then they realized we weren't this coming August but the following (1. 5 years away) August. Even thought this August is far enough away to cancel as well. Then they took weeks to respond with

One of the better hotels I've stayed in. The cheapest room has a nice deep tub, good sized fridge, real cream for their in room coffee machine (and the coffee isnt terrible!). Staff are all really friendly and helpful.
They lost a start because of the food options - vegetarians have maybe one option on the menu. Pescatarians have a couple. Almost everything has meat and there aren't even the laziest of vegetarian versions of them - no veggie patty for burgers, etc.
Delightfully, there are a bunch of restaurants nearby and a hippie grocery store you can buy snacks from. The in room

Just spent four nights here and had a good time in Parksville and surrounding small towns.
This hotel is clean, good location, has a friendly staff that is anxious to help but sometimes with limited results possibly due to the fact that this is their high season and I believe that they are not accustomed to servicing their clients to their true ability when they are near 100% booked. Room/maid service (room 904) was provided between 4-5 PM daily and could not arrange to get this done earlier in the day. I had the impression that their staff was struggling just to get all of the rooms cleaned daily

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was really great! Our 1 bed suite had a spectacular view on the 8th floor. We had one full bath with a separate shower and tub as well as a powder room. It was like a full apartment unit with a kitchen, washer and dryer and all supplies. We enjoyed our stay and would have loved to have stayed for a week. Booked through bc ferries vacations.
The pool, hot tub and fitness centre are all a pass. The view and Boardwalk make a stay here worth while! Be sure to get a view suite.

Beautiful resort hotel for the price. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite with our 2 kids. It was great! We had a full Kitchen, living room and balcony with patio table. Views of the beach. Nice pool facility. Didn't check out the spa yet but prices looked reasonable compared to Vancouver.
Located right on the Parksville beach. Steps away. Free bike and skimboard loans to guest. Huge Nearby children's playground kept our kids endlessly entertained once they were done with the beach.
