We are an all-day breakfast and lunch cafe located in Victoria and Vancouver. The original Jam opened on Herald St. in Victoria in the spring of 2012 and was immediately embraced by the City and it's dining community. As the popularity of Jam grew, we knew that we needed to expand our operations and in early 2016 we opened our second venue in downtown Vancouver on Beatty.
This was followed by our 3rd and newest addition, Jam Caf Kitsilano, in the fall of 2018. Inspired by recipes from the south, like our house made cornbread, buttermilk biscuits and fried chicken we wanted to create a menu of comfort fare in a rustic-city atmosphere.

Maybe breakfast foods are just not my jam, but I found Jam Cafe just okay. The service was good, the food was ok and the price was a little high (but you are in Victoria so to be expected).
We came on a random weekday morning, so there was no lines and only three other tables being served. I had half of the Blackstone Benny (basically a benny with sugar cured bacon) and my partner had the Huevos Rancheros. Both were okay, but nothing to write home about. Have had better, also have had worst.
Maybe we order the wrong items? Also, when did three pancakes start costing $17?

We kicked off a recent trip to Victoria with brunch - my husband's absolute favourite meal of the day. We were looking to try somewhere new (to us), and in seeing the reviews of Jam Café we decided to check it out.
Spoiler alert: we came here for brunch 2 out of the 3 days we were in town.
We arrived around 12:30 and while there was a line (as there always is for brunch anywhere), the wait was only about 15/20 minutes which is impressive as there were a number of groups ahead of us. The joys of being a table of two!
The Café was bustling, the menu long, and the venue featured an assortment

+.5 for service
For a place rated 4.5/5, I think my expectation may have been a bit high...
I was recently in Victoria, and had a chance to dine here before ferrying back to Vancouver. After seeing very good reviews for this place, I decided to dine here for breakfast with my family.
Arriving at around 11am, there was a small wait, not more than 15 minutes. They checked vaccine passports and seated us promptly. Overall the service was great throughout.
We had an idea of what we wanted; my dad and I wanted the pork belly benny, while my mom took the cold smoked salmon benny instead. My mom loved

The food was ok but nothing special. I'm pretty sure that there is a place that the food is better and also have a better atmosphere. The staff were nice but I found the place too noisy. There's nothing bad about it, but it didn't match my expectations since I lined up for quite a while. The food was very big and I think it would be better to share it with someone else rather than eating it by yourself

Seriously breakfast/brunch in Victoria City never disappoints me as it is always top notch. Way better than Metro Vancouver breakfast brunch...if Vancouver had breakfast/brunch place like this - there would always be line up's and take out's for this yummy place. Their french toast, eggs benedict, hash brown and chocolate milkshake was just so fulfilling and delicious. I was not able to finish everything so I took the french toast with him and it still tasted great!!

(!&@#(#(@)*)#*@)@#)$*)#* soooooooo good.
Amazing biscuits? Check.
Amazing sausage gravy? Check.
Amazing bacon? Check.
Amazing big thick strips of pork belly? Check.
Crazy delicious crispy grated potatoes cut into a rectangle? Check.
Seriously? This place is delicious. I had a lackluster experience at another iconic Victoria breakfast joint and was not looking forward to trying another "famous" place. So glad my partner got me to change my mind. So, so, so good. Well worth the wait. The food portion size is great.
My two complaints is I'm not a fan of their drip coffee. It

This is open and is very busy. During out trip to Victoria, we thought to check it out. Caution as there is always a lineup and no reservations, you have to stand in line physically. The wait is worth it though, it's so good! I had chicken and waffles with maple syrup, it was heavenly. The chicken is crispy and tasty and the waffles are so good, not very sweet! The staff is amazing, they make sure you are taken care of. I would definitely recommend. I never realized they have a Vancouver location too, would definitely pay a visit!

The lineup circling around jam every weekend bears witness to how incredible the food and drinks are here. We had the pulled pork pancakes (with pork layered between each pancake), the Buffalo chicken Benny, and some mimosas. I would argue the freshest and tastiest mimosa I've ever had. Their oat milk hot chocolate was incredible also. Would recommend for tourists and locals alike!

Ahhh I'm sad!!! I get super food emotional btw and this was our first time at any Jam cafe's. I reeeeally really wanted to like it. Not sure if it was just too hyped up for me or if my expectations were too high :(
I love chicken & waffles but I also love French toast. Thought I'd mix it up and ordered the Chicken French toast and it was underwhelming :'(
It was sitting in a savoury sauce, the maple bourbon bbq glaze. I just wish maybe the sauce was on the side so the bread and chicken wouldn't get soggy throughout the meal. It said it would've been topped with

This is by far my favorite all day breakfast spot in Victoria! I love their "Specials Board" because the chefs are always coming up with creative new ideas!
On Monday my wife and I went and were very pleased to discover a new Vegan dish. We both ended up ordering it and we're not disappointed! So good you have to try it for yourself!
I'm taking a friend from out of town to Jam Cafe tomorrow and I think I'll have the Vegan dish again.
Oh, almost forgot! We sat outside in beautiful sunshine and the serving staff were so very friendly and helpful!
Just try it, nothing

Jam Jam Jam... what amazing things could I say about thee that has not already been said!
For starters, the Charlie Bowl is epic! When I order it, when I don't order it... it has a special place in the world - and that's a great thing!
The coffee, on point, nuff said about that one!
The last focus point for me is the pulled pork pancakes ! On a scale from 1-10 of awesomeness for this dish... we are at AWESOMENESS 9.0! Legendary, absolutely legendary!
When I think of Jam, the picture summarizes everything...

Victoria isn't really known for their brunch scene so the one recommendation that popped up every time for brunch was Jam Cafe. It's the first place I headed to after I dropped off my bags at my hostel.
Both the Vancouver and Victoria locations get crazy lineups so I knew what I was in for. Waited maybe 25 minutes in line on a Thursday morning. The tables were well distanced and had plexiglass to further separate the groups. I ordered the gravy coops which is a buttermilk biscuit topped with fried chicken and a hash brown with their special in house sugar cured bacon on the side.
