Archway Counselling Association has provided counselling services for our community since 1994. The association oversees Archway Counselling, a professional counselling program, and Slate Youth Centre, a gathering space for youth. Our services are based on a foundation of integrity, compassion, and Christian principles.

Services
Archway Counselling Association provides a broad range of counselling services founded on God's truths to help people move toward wholeness. We provide a full range of counselling services for individuals, couples, families, and children. Our agency started when it became apparent that people in the Truro area needed a Christian counselling centre.
Unfortunately, in our society, there continues to be a stigma regarding counselling or reaching out for help when you are struggling. Reaching out for counselling does not mean you are weak. It means that you have enough self awareness to realize you need help to process your current life situation.
Professional Memberships: Registered for the Private Practice of Social Work with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. Professional Interests: Depression, anxiety, conflict resolution and communication, family relationships, couples therapy, abuse/trauma. Theoretical Orientation: Brian is influenced by Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family systems.
For the first time in my life, I was given the opportunity to be able to express my thoughts and feelings with no strings attached. Just to be validated gave a real sense of value and worth, something I never felt before in my life. I am very glad I decided to do therapy and counselling and even happier you're my therapist.
Part of the original mandate of Archway Counselling Association was to provide training opportunities for the community in counselling related topics. Our Community Room is an ideal location for video seminars and for community groups to meet. We have also offered workshops specifically for the pastors and church leaders in our community.
