You have the capacity to find your own well-being and balance, even in difficult circumstances. No matter what you have gone through in life, no matter what challenges you are facing now, you can work gently and intelligently with yourself to find success, happiness and peace. Counselling can help you activate your inner strength, wellness and confidence using evidence-based approaches to stress, anxiety, depression and trauma.

With the right tools and support, problems that appear insurmountable can shrink down to a manageable size. Often, we are stressed because we feel overwhelmed, out of control and isolated. Counselling can help gently ground us in habits and practices that will take us step by step towards feelings of self-kindness, well-being, and mastery.
Services
Pamela Rubin is a Canadian Certified Counselor, practicing with the Living Well Integrative Health Centre. My early career was spent as a lawyer, where I worked for many years on women's access to justice issues. I focused on women's experience of intimate partner violence and sexual abuse, violence and harassment.
All of us have the inner resources we need for a meaningful, positive life. I focus on building on what feels natural: grounding ourselves in the present through mindfulness, encouraging self-care habits and balance, finding approaches together to life's problems that make common sense. Because I specialize in trauma counselling, sometimes people ask me how I keep my spirits up.
Having your own confidential resource person makes solutions possible to professional and personal challenges. As a Canadian Certified Counselor, I share proven techniques for addressing professional stress, interpersonal issues and reaching your full potential. I'm also a law grad (Dalhousie class of 1989) in a family with three generations of lawyers!
Guided work with horses can reduce stress, increase resilience and feelings of empowerment. Research shows equine-assisted sessions are an amazing way to reduce anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and other issues. Sessions are at Blue Raven Farm in Hants County Nova Scotia, approximately one hour and fifteen minutes drive from Halifax.
Your group or workplace team deserves stress-free professional development that increases your efficiency, effectiveness and enjoyment of your profession.
