We are currently adding people to our wait-list and wait times for consultation can be as long as one year. After your consultation you will be given a quote for the proposed surgery; if you wish to book surgery this can usually be scheduled within 2 weeks - 3 months. For non surgical procedures such as Botox/Fillers, appointments are scheduled within 1-3 weeks.
Dr Macadam is an Associate Professor (Clinical) within the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is Head of the UBC Breast Reconstruction Program and the Research Director within the Division of Plastic Surgery. She also is the Director of the UBC Breast Reconstruction Fellowship which trains national and international plastic surgery graduates.
Azin Yazdani is a Registered Nurse with over 10 years in the aesthetic industry. She has advanced training in the Operating Room and specialized in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery which is where she met Dr. Macadam. She branched into the field of injectables after working with some of the best in the industry, including Dr. Humphrey and Dr. Carruthers.
Breast augmentation is performed to enlarge the breast. Women may consider this surgery if they have been unhappy with their breast size for many years. Some women are unhappy with volume changes post-weight loss or post-pregnancy. Many require a breast lift at the same time as augmentation. Breast augmentation may be performed through an incision around the areola, an incision in the breast crease, or an incision in the axilla.
Mastopexy or "breast lift" is performed to re-shape a breast that has descended (ptosis) due to age, weight loss or post-pregnancy changes. The nipple is no longer centered on the breast mound and is lower than the inframammary fold. The typical candidate for a breast lift is a patient who has recently lost weight or noted change in breast shape due to pregnancy.

Dr. Sheina Macadam is amazing. I had to have a bilateral mastectomy which was a horrible time, but the reconstruction turned out better than the originals. If I had known it would go this well, I would have been less worried about it. Receptionist Michelle is also lovely. She makes you feel so comfortable. I can’t thank you enough. Had a really bad experience with Michelle while trying to book. Michelle promised me months ago she would get back to me regarding a consultation date in July, and July rolls around with no response from her. I contacted her on several occasions to follow up, but received no response. Time spent waiting for her response could have been spent looking for other doctors, who are now booked up months in advance. Would not recommend as the staff is unprofessional.

I did a consultation with Dr Macadam, and although I've decided not to proceed with the surgery I can see why she is one of the top if not best surgeons in Vancouver. She is very knowledgeable and honest with her suggestions of what would work and what would not work for a patient. I visited the surgery last week for my first filler treatment with Azin the nurse injector. I have recently moved to Vancouver from Sydney and been researching the best place for filler as I'm very particular! Azin was incredible, her consult was very thorough, she was very professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. The treatment itself was so gentle and the results where AMAZING. After a mastectomy in 2009 at the age of 34, I finally decided to have Dr. Macadam perform a delayed DIEP reconstruction years later in 2016. Her skills, bedside manner, reassurance, and honesty gave me confidence that I did not have in years. After much reluctance in having to undergo major surgery again, I am so happy to have done the reconstruction and did the research and chose Dr. Macadam. She was truly amazing!
