My little guy enjoyed it so much that we signed up my middle daughter, then my oldest daughter, and now my wife and I are doing it too! It's as entertaining to watch as it is to participate. Master Hong and the team do an amazing job with the kids that attend here to be more confident and creates a fun environment for everyone. My 7 year old loves going to Taekwondo at the SW location and looks forward to her classes. Classes with Master Hong and the team has helped her with coordination, balance, flexibility, focus, and discipline. The curriculum is designed well and the class schedule can be changed on weekly basis depending on your flexible need.

Our experience so far was been extremely positive. As a parent, I appreciate the lessons taught outside of the TKD skills itself - including encouraging the kids to be respectful and kind to others. All of the instructors and leaders are fantastic, especially Master Chong.
The location is convenient for us and yes, the parking lot can get cramped. But simply parking in the lower lot is an easy solution.

I am incredibly impressed with Master Rim's SW Calgary location. Master Chong is one of the best instructors I have encountered, over a variety of activities my son has been enrolled in. His approach with the children is engaging and supportive, while also teaching and modelling important tenets of respect, hard work and achievement. The staff, especially Ms. Buket, are wonderful to deal with; incredibly accommodating and organized. I would highly recommend this studio for any family wishing to participate in and learn Taekwondo.

Great instruction and kids are motivated. My only suggestion and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be to maybe not make each class a yelling competition as kids can show enthusiasm without trying to out yell each other. classes are also a little over crowded and limited personal attention. otherwise it’s an excellent program.

As newer students, my kids have been loving their experience at Master Rim’s! The school really focuses on helping each student do their personal best. The instructors develop authentic and fun connections that will forever be impactful in a positive way no matter the length of the students journey. Additionally, the school offers a lot of flexibility to families with busy schedules (ie/3 months a year can be missed for vacations, summer break, etc.) along with swapping missed classes if needed. Highly recommend!!!

We’ve been with Master Rim’s for quite awhile now. From Red Deer to Calgary SW, the staff (esp Ms Katie and Ms Buket) have been very helpful to us. We highly recommend this taekwondo school because the masters don’t only teach taekwondo - they mold each child to be well-rounded and they encourage them to be the best persons they can be!

Excellent role models of patience and discipline. We LOVE Master Rim’s Taekwondo, I couldn’t possibly say enough wonderful things about my kids instructors Master Nam and Instructor Keenan. I enjoyed watching the kids so much I started up with the adult lessons. A positive and empowering experience for all of us. x

I have been going to Master Rim’s Taekwondo adult classes in the SW for the past 3 months starting at no belt and progressing through the first belt test. Overall I have found the experience to be excellent.
There are 3 instructors running the adult class who are all very humble, energetic and ready to serve. All of the instructors are highly accomplished in their disciplines. The class sizes vary but so far I have not felt the classes have been overcrowded or create the impression that there are too few instructors to students.

Decent quality taekwondo instruction, unfortunately, the Calgary location has become quite busy and Master Chong's customer service has not kept pace. Often classes are split in two groups, while you pay for a full session, your kids end up watching the other half of the class get one on one instruction, so a 45 minute class only has 30 minutes of instruction.
He's very slow at returning emails. They've recently hired an assistant, but it seems not to have helped. You cannot phone the Calgary
