Services
Our Music Teachers are all University Trained, or have equivalent qualifications (some in-progress). Our Private Academic Tutors are fully qualified teachers, members of the Ontario College of Teachers. In addition to being excellently qualified, we make sure that our music teachers and private tutors have experience - bringing depth and creativity to our students' experiences and growth.
All lessons of the same length cost the same amount, based on the base rate (differs from program to program). All music lessons, regardless of the monthly billing amount equal the per-lesson rate when the student stays the whole year. We add all the lessons together for the whole school year, and then divide them by the total months of the academic year to get a fixed billing amount each month.

My son took piano lessons at ABC Academy of Music for 5 years and loved it! His teachers were great musicians and humans, brought out his best effort, and an appreciation and love for music. They were encouraging, kind and patient with my kid, and he always enjoyed going to lessons. Barnaby and Jennifer, who run the the place, are very welcoming and easy to communicate with, they really make you feel like family... in a good way:)

My children have attended both the Music Together classes as well as the private classes for over a year now and have been thrilled with both. Not only are the instructors great, but everyone at the school is welcoming and makes you feel like a real part of things. The instructors and Barnaby always take the time to provide useful feedback and… positive encouragement to the children, as well as the parents trying to stay in the loop. As a somewhat disorganized family, I was worried about staying on top of homework etc., but never feel judged if we don't get as much done as was hoped. Everyone

My son Ahaan started his musical journey with ABC at the age of 4. Initially, we felt he might be too young for Piano lessons but still decided to go ahead. His initial few months were very difficult to say the least, he had a very short attention span and no focus. His piano teacher Tim persisted with him, was amazingly patient and let him enjoy… the class and not make it a chore. At first, Ahaan just wanted to "improvise" and didnt like structured lessons. Tim led him on to make sure he doesnt lose his interest in Piano. Slowly but stedily, Ahaan started to play all by himself, practicing

My son took bass lessons with ABC for about 5 years, and progressed very quickly. He always enjoyed his lessons and developed a great rapport with his teachers, who provided excellent individual attention. I particularly liked the bi-annual progress reports - a great help with setting goals. Barnaby and staff are great, always friendly, willing and… able to address individual issues any students might be having. My son also enjoyed the weekly rock band participation and the live performances in the neighbourhood. My family had a great experience with ABC, and I would recommend them to anyone

Our daughter has been participating in Music Together with ABC since she was 10 months old. We hardly have missed a Sunday morning music class since and she is now 2 + years. She's got great receptive and expressive language skills that I think this program played a big part in helping to develop. $ very well spent!!!

I take drums and singing at ABC Academy. As a beginner and adult student I really appreciate how friendly and professional the teachers are. Instructions are clear and well presented, revolving around my interests and needs, in creative ways, with patience, support, and encouragement. In my singing lessons I was given feeling, context, character, and meaning to what I'm singing, in a way that made me feel totally at ease. My teachers are down to earth, with no pretension, and I've had a lot of fun so far!
