I’ve taught at Neighbour Note for many years. This school has been wonderful to work for and the students have been fantastic! John has always been very supportive and accommodating and runs a school that manages to keep all the conveniences for at home lessons for students (not having to leave your house) with all the advantages of a traditional brick and mortar school (recitals and wonderful band programs). I highly recommend Neighbour Note to anyone who is looking for music lessons. 👍👍👍

My son started virtual lessons with John a few months ago and we couldn’t be happier. We were concerned about how the virtual lessons would keep him engaged but John is really wonderful and keeps the lessons light and fun with jokes and funny anecdotes. My son has learned so much during the last couple of months and looks forward to his lessons each and every week!!! Highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻

My son started learning piano for the first time with John who has been wonderful and accommodating during this difficult time. Max is really into music from movies so John improvised and had him learn how to play Star Wars making the whole experience enjoyable for Max. Thanks and we hope to see you next September!

My 5 year old twins are currently taking music lessons and I have been very impressed with the professionalism and Johns ability to connect with, and manage, such young kids. Having lessons after school can be difficult as kids are often tired and full of energy, but John has showed great patience and ability in dealing with all of their ups and downs. John is able to get them to focus and makes learning fun. My kids have showed great progress in their understanding of the instruments themselves, and of music in general. I highly recommend John and Neighbor Note for anyone looking for music lessons

I've been taking adult guitar lessons with John for the last few months. It has been a wonderful experience so far as I haven't taken lessons in over 10 years and was a bit nervous initially. John is a very patient teacher and it's clear his passion for music comes through each lesson I participate in. I was a bit hesitant at first switching to online as I personally do not learn well via video and prefer in-person lessons. However I'm glad that online lessons are an option and my experience switching to online has been pleasant.
As someone who hasn't played guitar in such a long time, I'm definitely

Our son has been taking music lessons with Neighbour Note for several years, first piano and then guitar. John is an excellent teacher who can modify any lesson plan to respond to the student's ability and curiosity. The price is reasonable; they are flexible if you need to reschedule a lesson; and the music students get the opportunity to showcase what they have learned at Neighbour Note's spring and winter recitals. I highly recommend Neighbour Note.

We were first introduced to Neighbour Note through a recommendation in 2007. My 3 year old had been asking to play guitar for a year. Luckily, John gave us an honest that she was ready for guitar lessons at such a young age. 9 years later she's still taking guitar with John as well as drums with Simon, voice with Sarah and band with Oscar :)
John and his amazing team at Neighbour Note always keep my kids interested, engaged while keeping lessons fun!
