Loam Yoga is a boutique studio nestled in the forest of Anmore, close to Port Moody and Coquitlam, and within the Greater Vancouver BC area. We are focused on delivering yoga practices that connect, strengthen and restore your body and your mind. This beautiful and tranquil setting is the perfect place to connect with your inner peace.

The studio is well-appointed, creating a lovely environment that will appeal to all five of your senses. At Loam Yoga we provide a welcoming, down-to-earth place to practice yoga. Specializing in smaller classes, you receive more individual attention than at larger studios.
Services
Ayurveda is derived from two roots: Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge. It is an inclusive healing modality that teaches us how to live in harmony with nature, with ourselves and with those around us. Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science (dating back almost 5000 years).
Our yoga classes provide a healthy mix of postures and breathing. Loam Yoga studio in Anmore and Port Moody, BC offers hatha yoga classes with an integration of flow, pilates, and restorative yoga elements offering a complete yoga experience. This is an ideal class to help you reduce stress and increase steadiness in the body and mind.
Sometimes private yoga, semi-private or group yoga classes are a better fit for your needs than our regular yoga classes. We can work with you directly to develop a yoga practice that is specific to you or your group needs. For example, if you have limited mobility we can accommodate that and work on developing a practice that helps you address your health goals.
Corporate yoga classes can improve workplace wellness and result in healthier, happier and more productive employees. Loam Yoga offers onsite office yoga classes at times convenient for your group. Stress in the workplace and overall corporate wellness are growing concerns for progressive and productive businesses.
Loam Yoga class pricing is designed to encourage regular attendance, as you will receive the maximum benefit of yoga with a consistent and committed practice. Anthea is amazing! I've experienced her one on one classes and her group sessions! She is calm and encouraging, and offers a nice blend of mind and soul experiences. De stress from the days' challenges, by visiting Loam Yoga!!

I have been searched for half of a year to start my yoga journey and I am so glad I finally found Loam Yoga. Anthea is a patience, supportive, knowledgeable , and experienced instructor who understanding your need and guide you through your practice step-by-step. I have so much fun and learn a lot every class. If you are new to yoga, I highly recommended Loam Yoga, this is the BEST place to go!

Loam Yoga in Anmore is a very inviting, calm, serene yoga studio. Anthea Hughes is a truly amazing teacher and I have learned so much about yoga in the years I have been her student. The classes at Loam are encouraging, challenging and peaceful - exactly what you would want in a yoga class and studio. It has been such a joy and a privilege to be part of Anthea’s small yoga classes. She has been the perfect instructor for someone like me, who was a little nervous about committing to a new exercise regime. Her knowledge, understanding, warmth and genuine talent have taught me so much and I walk out of her classes always feeling calmer and somehow taller, both physically and mentally. When I was struggling with pain in my hips Anthea went above and beyond to support me, suggesting alternatives for particular stretches and encouraging me when I was feeling dispirited. I highly recommend her classes

Loam Yoga is exactly what I need - a cozy inviting environment for health and wellness. Walking through the winding path in the forested garden set me to the right mood. Anthea's yoga classes are always a joy to participate in - I leave feeling so much better than when I arrived. The studio location is in a wonderful, serene forested area and the space encourages movement, stretching, breathing and flow. You can find yoga classes for a variety of interests and levels and Anthea provides modifications of poses within the classes to accommodate your needs. Great teacher. Great space.

I've very much enjoyed my experience at Loam Yoga. The location is calm and professional, and Anthea is an outstanding teacher. I am relaxed and rejuvenated after each session. The website is easy to use, and customer care has been outstanding.
