I have worked with Dr. Lim since I started my career in the dental profession in 1995. I love interacting with patients, as well as seeing their beautiful smiles emerge after orthodontic treatment.

Services
Dr. Hou was born and raised in Vancouver before moving to New York for his undergraduate degree in Biology at Columbia University. While at Columbia, his research on dentist's attitudes towards delivery of care for at-risk patients and in-office infection control protocols contributed to multiple scientific publications.
The doctor will carefully examine the teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems, such as crowding, cross-bite, gaps, etc. Once the doctor has a clear picture of the most likely course of treatment, we'll discuss what type of treatment is necessary, how long it will take, and estimate how much it will cost.
The cost of your orthodontic treatment may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. During your visit, we'll discuss with you the cost of your treatment, and each of your available payment plan options, so that you are able to make the best choice for you and your smile. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.
Our practice also recognizes that adults and children have different needs, and require a different level of attention and care. We will work with you to ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatments, and that your needs are met with understanding, respect, and full commitment from us.
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven.Early treatment allows your orthodontist to correct and guide your child's jaw, create more space for crowded teeth, avoid the need for extractions later in life, and correct thumb sucking and minor speech problems.

When you have braces it's very important to brush and floss after every meal in order to keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout your treatment. Dr. Lim's office not only has given me the most professional and courteous service I have ever experienced but also made sure that my dental procedure would turn out as perfect as it could! I have never been to another medical office where they would follow up on you several years after the procedure was done! My mother, as well as a colleague, went to other orthodontists and they both do whatever they need to do and that is the end of it whether it later turns out mediocre or not. Dr. Lim is the only Orthodontist I recommend anyone to go to!
