When you visit us at Specs on Bloor, you will find a team of genuinely passionate individuals who will work hard to maintain your ocular health. Our priority is ensuring your health and vision is properly cared for so your eyes see and feel their absolute best. We have worked hard to develop a practice that checks all the boxes when considering a comprehensive eye care experience.
Comprehensive eye exams play a significant role in maintaining good vision and eye health. Eye issues that affect your eyes can often go unnoticed until they have already caused irreversible damage. You can prevent this by having regular eye exams. Adults over the age of 40 are at a higher risk for age-related eye problems such as cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma.
Dry eye is a progressive condition that occurs due to your eyes not producing enough good quality tears. Dry eye can occur for many reasons, some including ageing, hormonal changes, or even environmental factors or irritants. At Specs on Bloor, we put your ocular health first to ensure you are well taken care of.
Presbyopia is a normal occurrence that happens as we age, caused by the typically flexible, clear lens in the eye losing its elasticity. When the lens becomes stiff, it is difficult for the eye to change focus between something close up and far away, creating an inability to focus on anything close up.
Founded in 2003 in Denmark, Bellinger eyewear consistently focuses on innovation. Dedicated to high-quality materials and construction, vibrant designs, and sleek shapes, Bellinger eyeglass frames leave a lasting impression on those around you. Make a statement with Bellinger frames.

The DERAPAGE designer eyewear brand owes its name to a motor racing term universally used to describe how the driver tackles a corner at speed while maintaining control of the vehicle. There are umpteen ways, materials, techniques of making a pair of glasses. One has but to choose. DERAPAGE has always entailed a choice, an ambitious one, the same today as twenty-five years ago: to create hi-tech eyewear to an exclusive design.

I went for an eye exam and the staff and doctor gave me an excellent visit. Dr leung was great and explained everything and took his time with my examination. I highly recommend there office for eye exam.

As for buying glasses there. Walk away. I was given a certificate for $50 dollars off. By the time i chose my frames and they quoted me on just one pair of glasses it came close to a thousand dollars. Thats pretty jaw dropping. Plus no additional warranties. So if I break anything I have to purchase full price for the broken lens or frames. I have to pay for screw replacement. I have to pay

Got a pair of glasses here for my kid, only because we saw the optometrist in the back. Got lenses myself here too, for frames I bought from a local indie designer. Then my kid fell on his face and broke his frame - took them in for a repair and had to wait ages and pay $100 for what turned out to be the wrong part - so the legs fell off! Took them back again and waited months to get the proper replacement part. Grr.

A few months after that, the screw popped out of my frame. I dropped by to get it put back in, and they charged me $5! After me spending close to a grand there! I was astounded at

$5.00 charge to replace a screw. First time I've ever been charged for this (or any minor) service at an optician.

Very happy with my purchase here. I love that this place doesn't carry much run of the mill designers, which at this point I feel are all the same with different names stamped on the side. I bought a Frost frame, which was super unique. Actually most of the glasses here are pretty unique, which makes sense since this is very much a boutique place. I've gotten so many compliments on it. The lenses I was given were Zeiss. Granted they're pricier, but well worth the money. My prescription isn't high, but this was the first time I didn't experience dizziness when I put them

I was STUNNED at the prices I was quoted for frames and ESPECIALLY for lenses here. This optician is MAKING A KILLING on his shockingly high prices.

I was almost speechless when he told me that single vision high index lenses could be as much as $400 - just for the lenses! That is INSANE.

I checked this place out because they are close to where I live - but I'll NEVER shop there - especially when I discovered that for about one eighth the price you can buy your glasses online at Zenni Optical.

So if you CAN'T wait a week to get your glasses mailed to you - go ahead and throw away

Three years ago, I bought my glasses from Specs on Bloor.

Today, I returned to adjust my glasses (I bent them somehow), and they were so helpful and friendly. Plus, they have fun designer frames, and are great at picking out styles that suit your face.

I know it's easy to go online and buy discount glasses, but this is the kind of neighbourhood shop that really makes you want to support the little guy. :)

Similar to Zoe, I wish I could give them a higher review. They truly do have a unique selection of glasses. However, I would stop there. Simply browse, but take your business elsewhere. Why? The service is some of the rudest I have experienced in Toronto; and it wasn't on a single occasion either. I have gone in and they have suggested some frames for me - great. But similar to other reviews, they pushed me right into the payment process as soon as I identified a pair of frames I liked. When I told them I'd like to think about it, they seemed miffed that I wouldn't hand over my credit

Yay:
I'm giving three stars because they have a consistently good collection of fresh and modern styles, and seem to know what they are talking about beyond just having an opinion about the frames (ex: I like them. They look nice).

Hey:
I can't give them any more than a 3, due to the service of the RO (whatever that stands for).

I asked the salesperson for a quote. She had me sit down, and then another person took over, the "RO" (registered optician?). He quoted me a price, and offered me a small discount, and that's when I was told about the $600. total (frames
