With her vast experience in real property and estate matters, Candi has developed a breadth of knowledge related to real estate, along with an excellent understanding of Wills and Powers of Attorney. Furthermore, Candi's Portuguese heritage has allowed her to help many people with Portuguese language documents by preparing Portuguese Powers of Attorney (Procuracao) and Portuguese document translations.
When buying and/or selling a home, your Notary interacts with your Realtor, Lender and You in order to prepare the legal documentation that is required. Once the documentation is ready, we make an appointment with you to give you the information, support, and advice you need to make the process as seamless as possible.
A Power of Attorney appoints a trusted person to take over your affairs when it is necessary. This way, you get to decide who receives what and who will take care of your estate, dependants, affairs, health care matters, and personal care matters. In preparing Portuguese Powers of Attorney (Procuracao), Portuguese identity cards are generally required if born in Portugal. For translations of Portuguese documents from Portuguese to English (or vice versa), original documentation is required.
