Family Mediation (sometimes referred to as Divorce Mediation) is a process that assists parents in resolving disputes about family issues such as child-related decision making, shared time with the child(ren), and safety issues. Using a collaborative, family-centred approach, Merrill specializes in working with families to help create a personalized parenting plan that meets the unique needs of the family.
The role of the family plays a significant part in the development of an individual's emotional and physical wellbeing. When an individual's emotional and physical wellbeing is compromised, the overall health of a family is compromised. During couples and family therapy, the therapist and the couple/family members work together to identify areas where they would like to make positive changes.
