Dr. Johnson grew up in the Edmonton area. He attended and graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta, with an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. He went on to study Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Portland Oregon where he graduated with distinction in 2006.
From there he began practicing as an associate in various clinics in Southern Alberta. Dr. Johnson is a proud member of the Canadian Vision Care team. He has done five missions to Jamaica, where with CVC, they provide eye exams, glasses, medications and surgery to people in need. Dr. Johnson opened Ranch Market Eyecare in August of 2014.

Services
For adults, seniors and kids. We charge $95.00 for full adult eye exams. Individuals over 65 years of age and under the age of 19 years of age are covered by Alberta Health Care for 1 eye exam yearly. If you have any health issue with your eyes, whether it be pink eye or a foreign body stuck in your eye, come in and let us take care of it.

Two days a week this so called optometrist is available!! Seriously!!! This is pathetic. We need good, dedicated doctors in our town. Not some guy who claims to be one. If you don't want to work in our town get out !!!!!!! Your taking up value space in our plaza to actual doctors who want to help and support our community. This is awful

My 1st eye exam in 53 yrs on Oct.2/2020. Staff were very courteous and patient. During tests, Chris found a small retinal tear in my right eye. They helped me pick frames and lenses. They phoned me on Oct.3/2020, informing me that they'd set up an appointment for a retina specialist on Oct.5/2020. These people get my highest recommendation.

Had to get a 2nd opinion for my 5 yr old daughter's previous optometrist who was trying to push glasses on a wee girl who didn't need them. Its been 4 years, her eye sight is great, Dr. Johnson saved us a lot of time and money by doing a professional job instead of just trying to make money with glasses like some people out there.
I went in myself for my yearly check ups just last week. Again, friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable with my pedantic-nosey-parker-questions.
Would recommend it to anyone from Strathmore or Calgary (worth the drive if you think your guy is hosing you!)

Loretta and Katelyn are always extremely helpful. They seem to always know exactly what frames they have and when you are looking for frames right away they find the one. They always seem to recommend the right lenses. I have gotten a few pairs of glass from here and I have never had a problem. They are the right prescription every time. I have had to come in for a couple emergency things and when I called I was always in within an hour or two. These girls are super friendly and are always making customers feel welcome and at home by interacting, joking and helping all customers. Our family loves

Nice place, but the optometrist could use a brush up on his "bedside manner.", especially when working with young children. We have taken our young children for eye checks two years in a row, and both times same thing. He is so serious and comes off as unfriendly. Not a smile, laugh, or friendly interaction in any way. That goes a long way when you have small kids. While I will continue to go there for my own eye care needs, I will find somewhere else for my children.
