Services
At Total Rehab Orthopedic and Athletic Medicine we offer a broad range of services. This allows our patients to receive complete and up to date treatment for their health care needs. Every patient is different, and therefore, our interdisciplinary approach allows patients to receive more than one perspective to their health care concerns and also provides more than one treatment option.
Physiotherapy is the science of function, movement and balance of the body. A physiotherapist has a detailed understanding of how the body works, knowledge of disease, injury and the healing process. They also have the ability to distinguish what is normal and abnormal in posture, balance, movement and function in the body.
Athletic therapists assess and treat individuals with musculoskeletal injuries, which may include injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and bones. Injuries resulting from recreational activities, training or due to repetitive work patterns would all benefit from a treatment program offered by an athletic therapist.
Chiropractic is a regulated health profession recognized by statute in all Canadian provinces. Doctors of Chiropractic assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system and joints of the extremities. They provide a diagnosis, treatment and prevention of those disorders. The treatment intervention specific to Chiropractic is the Chiropractic Adjustment or Manipulation.
Massage Therapy is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy provides an alternative health option to help alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain syndromes.

Dr. Carmen is incredible. She reassured me a lot because I was scared I wouldn't get better but she was very through and knowledgeable and took me through the whole process of what is going on, how she can treat it and if she can help or not. Definitely very personable as well. I went in with wrist and arm pain and I had about 5 sessions and NO PAIN! I can walk my dog with my right hand again :)
