The Yousofi family immigrated from Afghanistan to Canada in 2009. They immediately felt an absence in Vancouver for a place where they can get a taste of back home. Afghanistan has one of the richest cuisine in the world, and the Yousofi family made it a dream that they will one day bring that taste over here in Canada.
For the next 10 years the family worked hard getting involved in the food and hospitality industry, then finally opening their doors the community through their store Pamir Diner in 2019. They strongly believe in authentic Afghan food, and each one of their dishes are made to take you in a journey to Afghanistan.

Went here beginning of January with my family, dad knows the ppl there, but it was my first time at the restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food. They explained the portions greatly and my favourite dish would be the platter with the different dips and bread. All the dishes were fresh n delicious. Loved it 😌

I came here on the recommendation of a friend for my birthday dinner. I'm so glad that I did. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. My husband and I shared the Pamir platter, which was a nice mix of meat and vegetables. I especially loved the eggplant dish.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. He answered all of our questions about the food and gave us some good recommendations. I plan on coming back soon!

On the brightside, very tasty food and very fast service! The portions were large and well priced. It was nice to see a diner hustle and get food out quickly, served hot. The bread trio is a must! My wife enjoyed the dough beverage (yogurt drink with mint and cucumber).

During my business trip, I decided to dine here after reading the positive reviews. I have to say the food was excellent and the restaurant was clean and organized. I personally had the mantu plate which had a perfectly balanced spiciness to it. After I was done eating I couldn't help but grab a Beef Kobeda plate to go for when I'm back at the hotel!

There were 6 of us and we made reservations. The food is that good you need to make reservations for this restaurant. There is no liquor served which would have been nice but not necessary. You go for the food. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and looking at the menu and with her recommendation we chose the kebab throne. The price looks steep but when you consider 6 individual orders and the variety of meats this was the far better deal. I had the chicken corn soup and it was great. Well worth it. Amazing service! Food was amazing. The lamb and the chicken shish kababs were phenomenal. But the service was soo much better then I expected!
UPDATE: Went back today and I was again amazed and blown away by there service and hospitality! Awesome work and hope to be back soon!!! Will recommend this to anyone anytime!!!

We ordered a dinner for two. There was more than enough food. The food was good. We had leftovers. The waiter was nice and was checking on us. The only thing I didn't like was that couple of guests were extremely extremely loud, to the point that in order for us to hear one another we had to talk louder as well.

I was here yesterday with my friends and I had an amazing time with great food and service! But when I got home, I realized I lost my retainers worth $600!! Knowing that I left it on the table (wrapped in a piece of napkin) I came back and spoke to the owner about it.
The staff made me feel very welcome, offered me a seat and water and assured me that they will find it for me. The owner made sure that he searched through all the garbage until I got my retainers back. I was so happy!
The owner was astounding and all his staff were so supportive and understanding, this restaurant deserves 5 stars

Never had Afghan food before but have been wanting to try it for a while. Dined here about 2 weeks ago. I ended up ordering the Pamir platter with a friend and we couldn't even finish it off. Plenty of food for 2, probably almost enough for 3. Lots of delicious new flavours to experience. Definitely a place I will want to return to in the future.

We stopped by for lunch. We were seated right away. A high chair was available for our child. Menus and water were dropped off shortly after we were seated. We ordered the kebab plate, happy platter, mango juice and rice pudding.
It took a bit of time for everything to arrive but it was worth the wait. It was a satisfying meal trying a variety of appetizers and kebabs. It was my first time trying the different appetizers other than the Afghan bread. I really enjoyed the potato bolani which was a wheat crust with a soft potato filling. Came to Pamir Diner for the first time with my family to celebrate Eid and we were not disappointed! The quality of food was amazing and my dad, who has very high standards, said this was the best kebab he's ever had. I enjoyed every bite. The meat was perfectly seasoned and so juicy. The restaurant was sparkling clean and very well maintained. They even offered us complimentary dessert because of Eid! The owner was incredibly attentive and welcoming. We are so excited to come back. 10/10

Under new management!! And they are wonderful people with great service and delicious food! Highly recommend for great tasting, authentic Afghan food that even compares to Mama's cooking! We ordered the kabob platter and OMG every bite was better than the last, seriously idk how else to describe that it was That good! Thank you Pamir!

This restaurant lacks service. Food was incredibly unsatisfying. The whole roast chicken was dry, over cooked, and burned. My family and I waited quite a while to be served, and yet found out later chicken was precooked and was merely heated before serving. Naan was overpriced and cold. When these concerns were raised when paying, we got nothing but excuses. Would not recommend and never be returning.
