We are now looking to hire new staff to join our team! Ichiro Japanese Restaurant has served fresh seafood and traditional Japanese cuisine since 2006 in Steveston Village. We have been making an effort to introduce the wonders of Japanese cuisine and service to our community. As a result, we have won the first place award in the Japanese Restaurant section of our local newspaper for multiple years.

Don't expect sauced up California rolls or a billion different special rolls. If you want good combination sets with simple yet carefully executed authentic sushi and other Japanese cuisine offerings this is a great place. They do have special rolls but the flavors are still delicate. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

This is our first time here. We live 10 minutes away. I highly recommend making reservations and bring your ID and proof of vaccinations because they will check. You are allowed to enjoy your visit for 90 minutes. First off I'd like to say from the phone call to the service, they had been professional, courteous and very respectful. We came in for a 6pm reservation. They sat us immediately. I believe not all tables have this option of ringing for service when you are ready. Smart. This place has consistently scored high among reviewers for good reason. Their food is fresh and delicious. They offer several combinations so that there is likely a combination that has all you crave. The service is great - the servers are all friendly and care about enforcing covid restrictions (including counting the number of people inside the restaurant). My only complaint is that it justifiably has too many customers that I wasn't able to get a table a few times I visited without a reservation. However, making a quick call ahead of time to make a reservation fixes this.
