With studios in Downtown Halifax, Dartmouth & Bedford, there is a lot of space to practice yoga. We take immense pride in providing freedom to our students who practice at Shanti. With one pass, be it a monthly membership, class pass or first month introduction pass, you can take your practice to any location.
Where it all started. Opening in 2010 and building a yoga community that has been together 11 years strong and always striving for growth. In 2013 we decided to expand our community to Bedford. As the Yoga community in Halifax had few choices around the city, we aimed to bridge the gap in the Halifax.

Services
We opened our first yoga Studio in Dartmouth in 2010 with the vision of creating a community hub where students could come together to explore Yoga, make new friends and find peace in their hectic day. Our vision was to make Yoga available to everyone regardless of age or ability, in a safe, compassionate space.
Our official Virtual Studio is available NOW, and you can try it free for two weeks with no commitment, cancel anytime. With loads of class options in our On Demand library with new classes added each week, as well as DAILY weekday Live Stream classes, you can take the power of your yoga practice and our amazing teachers anywhere in the world, for just $29.97/month.
Our teachers are the backbone of Shanti. They are what make our studio unique and what brings our community together. Each one of our teachers brings their own approach to Yoga. They come from different training backgrounds and methodologies, bringing a diverse Yoga experience to our students. This not only allows students to find what fits them best, but it allows students a wide range of practice styles for a more complete practice.
Shanti Yoga is proud to be an affiliate studio for Love Your Brain, an organization that uses Yoga to foster community and resilience for people affected by Traumatic Brain Injuries. We host Love Your Brain yoga programs for people living with TBI's at Shanti Yoga as part of a partnership that we couldn't be more excited about.
Our Energy Exchange Program is at the heart of our studios, and creates the backbone of the Shanti experience. We offer yoga practice in exchange for time spent keeping the studio tidy and looking fresh. This includes general cleaning and helping out around the studio when classes are busy. Each shift is four hours, and for each shift completed you receive one week of unlimited practice.

I was referred to yoga by my doctor after a herniated disc and a lifelong back problem. I had never done any yoga before and was recommended Shanti by a friend. That was 4 years ago. My back hasn't hurt a day since. Great place to start if you've never done yoga before. The teachers are very understanding and encouraging and it has great vibe. Highly recommend to anyone curious about trying yoga or dealing with a back problem. Life changer for me.

I purchased an into month at Shanti Hot Yoga because my regular Ashtanga yoga training was on hiatus. I live near the studio in downtown Halifax, so that was a convenient location for me. Even though I don't love hot yoga, I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience. I found the teachers to be warm and inviting, as well as good yoga teachers. The space was always clean, tidy, and peaceful. The classes were challenging, but also offered several options so that students could practice at their own level. Overall I very much enjoyed practicing at Shanti and I look forward to going again.

I have been doing yoga for 5 years. I would agree it's a Good place for beginners, but the lessons are too simple for me. Nice teacher, not too crowded.
The only thing bothers me is that the yoga studio smells really bad, it would be nice if you guys could use some nature essence oil to reduce the sweaty and stinky feet smell.

This place made me love Hot Yoga. The instructors are very knowledgeable and take the time to ensure that every attendee is doing their poses correctly and gives you enough of a push. The room also isn't stiflingly hot so that's a plus. Only negative side is that it's really, really expensive but worth it if you can afford it

The studio is well kept and clean. Lots of lockers and shower stalls. Rental mats are available. So are blocks, straps and cushioned pads, which are free.
To start off, I am a beginner.
Cheilidh's all-level courses was enjoyable because she explained why using the blocks, straps or even trying a different pose is important in achieving proper form.
Unforunately I found that the other classes, like Vinyasa, the instructional pace was fast and also lack of providing alternative or modification to ease me into the correct poses.
To be fair, maybe these other classes are meant to be like that and

Shout out to all yogis out there! Yoga is definitely an expensive exercise option but it's become such a popular hobby, and my personal favourite form of strength building, that more and more yoga studios are popping up everywhere.
I've tried out a fair few yoga studios in the Halifax/Dartmouth area and so far, this is my favourite place.
1) Reasonably priced
I've compared intro months, I've DONE the intro months, I've looked at Groupons, and monthly memberships... and Shanti is definitely easy on the wallet. The intro month is $30 was the cheapest I saw anywhere. The

I had the pleasure of attending my first yoga class at the new Shanti Hot Yoga studio in Bedford. It was a little strange at first walking into the office-like building. Didn't seem quite right for a yoga studio to be there. But one must never judge a book by it's cover right?
I opened the door to the studio and was overwhelmed. I mean it is b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.
Picture a yoga studio that gets pregnant with a baby spa and the dad is a hip coffee shop. THAT is Shanti Hot Yoga Bedford. It's comfortable, it's friendly, it's complete.
There's a record player, a crokinole

I love this place so much. From the journey to the change room where you feel more like you are staying at the four seasons hotel with the setting they have created with nice artwork pictures to the polite and kind instructors to the large clean studio. Everything about this studio is 5 stars. If I lived in Dartmouth I would be here way more often. I highly recommend this studio and especially for people who live in Dartmouth and would not have a hard time getting to the studio. Lots of free parking at Dartmouth Moksha which is something you will not get when going to the Moksha Halifax and other

As a girl who likes her heat, I knew that I was going to enjoy hot yoga, I just didn't realize how much! I was introduced to the venue through a Groupon that a friend and I decided to get together and am glad I did. I have yet to experience anything else that has left me feeling strong, relaxed and cleansed all at the same time.
The instructors at Moksha were fantastic. As a newbie, I was pretty nervous about not being able to keep up with the rest of the class but they put my mind at ease right away. They were able to help you clear your mind and focus on making the session about yourself

I'm becoming a complete convert to hot yoga, and it's all thanks to the amazing people at Moksha Dartmouth.
The studio is like an oasis, amidst the busy hustle and bustle of the city. When you walk in, you'll be greeted by the friendly instructors/staff and once your shoes are off, you're walking into a wonderfully calm and peaceful atmosphere. Everything, including the change rooms, are peaceful.
The main studio is large, with mirrors along the long wall, so the vantage points for evaluating your own postures are maximized. The lighting is calm and yes, the heat is on!

Tucked away in the corner of an otherwise bland strip mall, Shanti Yoga has breathed a whole new life into the former Woodlawn Road Library space. With gorgeous hardwood floors and a distinctly zen decor from the moment you reach the front doors, Shanti let's you escape the stress and pressure of the daily grind in a clean, welcoming and friendly environment.
