Words that express thanks, joy, gratitude, or praise release certain potent energies within and around us not otherwise tapped. The act of thanksgiving carries the mind far beyond the region of doubt into the clear atmosphere of faith and trust where all things are possible. Mindfulness based psychotherapy is a powerful innovative approach to healing that is based on ancient wisdom on how to tap the power of our own minds.
Mindfulness means to pay attention, with intention, in the present moment, without judgment. Individuals who practice mindfulness report that they have an enhanced sense of well-being, an expanded experience of joy in their lives and a more positive relationship with themselves and others.

We are a group of wise and seasoned psychotherapists who have been multiply trained in a number of therapeutic approaches. We have worked in agencies, supervised students, taught in training courses, in colleges and universities and have all been involved for decades in peer supervision. As a group of mature and experienced therapists, we share similar and complementary values and beliefs in a number of areas.
With compassionate and mindful attention to how the hurt parts of our lives are repeating the past, there is always hope for positive change. Much of how we live our life runs on automatic. This is entirely necessary to get by. Routines hold our lives together. Automatic social customs support us all getting along.
I am a registered psychologist and meditation teacher who has been in practice for 20 years. I trained in clinical and counselling psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto, where my studies included a variety of approaches, including psychoanalytic psychology, cognitive psychology, creative approaches as well as Psychosynthesis, a spiritually oriented psychology.
I love helping people discover what a wonderful resource their body can be. Using the skill of mindfulness, clients learn to listen to feelings and emotions in a way that prevents them from being overwhelmed. I support you to recognize what feels right inside and how to use your body as an inner rudder and guide.
Mindful psychotherapy is a working partnership where our goal is to deeply understand and simply change the ways you live in the world. Patiently, respectfully and compassionately, you and I will explore what it is like to be you by listening to and talking about your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
