This is a short shot. The name means "restricted" and it is the first part of the espresso as water starts to flow through the coffee. A great cup of coffee is part art, part science, part romance combined with love for a great bean chosen and roasted to perfection then blended to give the ultimate taste experience.
All of this done by our Master Roaster trained in the old traditional italian ways. This followed his five year apprenticeship as a coffee roaster in Italy where he studied and mastered the fine art of coffee roasting in its true Italian Tradition, Ensuring "La Vitta e Bella". CASA DEL CAFFE is British Columbia owned corporation and has earned a reputation for quality coffee and dedicated service.

Lovely glühwein, they put foam on top which is great, never had it like that.
Only annoying that you have to pay with cash. They only accept German bankcards which is strange. But Germany in general is just really far behind with card payments so nothing to blame this plane about it, it is everywhere like that.

Coffee cappuccino so-so. Would have been acceptable but the owner was extremely rude. We were four people, 3 ordered coffee while the fourth wasn’t thirsty/hungry.
She demanded that everyone order something, and stood by waiting until the fourth ordered, despite us saying we’d need some time to choose.

A nice spot on the Hauptmarkt, but that's about everything positive I can say about it. The waiter was grumpy. The cappuccino was one of the worst I've ever had: way too hot, super bitter and the foam was thin, machine made. The glass of apfelschorl we ordered was not filled and a substantial amount was ice, and they didn't include a straw, which made drinking through the ice super annoying. Clearly focussed on tourists, not caring about returning customers.

The coffee is very good, various choices, the location is perfect, in the Heart of Trier, very good for a break, moreover the coffees there’s a Ice menu, BUT unfortunately the waiter Herr Hoffman he speaks French but he is rude, and not polite, as we sit he rush us to order because the coffee will close in 30min, at the end we stayed more than 45 min and the people are still ordering... !!!
Next time we will try the coffee next to this one.
So only 3 Star for the location and the menu ! And -2 for the waiter !

My pregnant fiance was told, "if you're not ordering something you can't sit here". I was wiling to order coffee and breakfast but decided to go elsewhere as the waitresses' rudeness was unbelievable. Saturday morning with dozens of empty seats. Shame as great location and have had coffee here alone many times.

I found this place reviewed on the front page of yelp on June 23, 2015 and book marked it for future reference as part of my 100 coffee shops in 52 weeks challenge.
The reason why this sat on my list for so long is that there was no published hours of operation times listed. The website doesn't publish this information either.
This is primarily a roasting house but they do serve coffee. Just the basics not the run of the mill specialty drinks, however, that is okay by me as this was an amazing bean. Rich and bold but not overly bold. I could taste the amazing quality.
