Welcome to Uxbridge Vision Care with optometrist Dr. Ron McMullen. We have provided personal, professional eye and vision care to residents of the Uxbridge area and Durham Region since 1986. We are proud to be a part of the Eye See. Eye Learn! program for JK students, sponsored by the Ontario Association of Optometrists, the Ministry of Health, and supported by Plastic Plus Labs and Modern Optical eyewear.

We all need to see well, because over 80% of the information we process each day comes from our vision. Subtle and not-so-subtle problems with sight can affect our ability to learn, enjoy activities, or work. Changes in eye health can occur at any age, often without warning or even any indication that there is a problem.

About Us Report

Optometrists are university-trained health care practitioners, specializing in examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases and disorders of the visual system and related structures. They are your primary eye and vision health doctors. Dr. McMullen is a local resident, born and raised in Claremont, just south of Uxbridge.

Examination Services Report

Examination fees for those under 20 years of age and those over 65 are covered by OHIP. As well, patients with diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, and other specified conditions are also covered. In addition to standard examination equipment, we also offer retinal imaging with our Canon digital retinal camera and software system.

I have dealt with Ron since he took over from Dr Gray. Always first class and kept up with the times. I moved away from Uxbridge awhile back. I will never seek an new eye doctor.

Dr McMullen spent a lot of time with me understanding my requirements for sunglasses for flying. The end result is I have an amazing pair of prescription sunglasses glasses that work exactly as required. Thanks !!!!

I absolutely love this office. The ladies are so nice at the front desk. Dr. Ron treated me so well and was so quick and painless. He answered all my question and I was able to order contacts and have them within days. I would recommend Dr. Ron McMullen to anyone I know. Thanks!

The WORST experience I have ever had with an optometrist!
A referral to treat an eye trauma was NEVER SENT! We waited with blurred vision, unable to work for 3 week to see a surgeon that an EMERGENCY ROOM DOCTOR had to refer us to because Dr Ron McMullen's office never sent a referral or followed up to see if it went through to a surgeon. Even though we had called twice to see what the hold up was. Your vision is not something you want to play around with. Hopefully there is not long term damage.
