Services
Service is perhaps where Inspired by Rossland Optical shines the most! It's easy to sell a pair of glasses or contacts, lots of places do that, but we stand behind all our products. We fill prescriptions from any licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. We take great care to perform custom adjustments and on-going maintenance to ensure your comfort and satisfaction.
We will call or email to confirm all appointment details during our regular business hours. We cannot guarantee that your preferred date will be available but will do our best to find a day and time that works for you! At our Whitby location we are often booking appointments three weeks or more in advance from the current date.
We are a small family owned business. We take a lot of time with our clients to ensure that an outstanding frame and appropriate lenses are selected. We are happy to warranty the product to the fullest availability of the manufacturers' policy. We advocate on your behalf to ensure the manufacturers we use stand behind their products.
Inspired by Rossland Optical direct bills! We are one of Durham's very few optical boutiques that direct bills to your insurance company! Whether purchasing a pair of our fabulous spectacles or dropping in for an eye exam, you can count on us to bill directly to your insurance on the spot. Forget those insurance forms and processing times - following your appointment, you can settle up with us and enjoy the rest of your day!
How do your warranties work? Our warranties are the best in the business. In order to continue providing great pricing we do not abuse our warranties and reserve warranties for the rare case of true manufacturer's defects. In the case of a warranty we purchase a new piece for you and then return the defective piece for credit.

Highly recommend Dana and her team at Inspired by Rossland Optical (both Whitby and Ajax locations). I had my eyes checked at the Ajax location and it was an easy and comfortable experience. I then needed adjustments on my current glasses and was able to do that at the Whitby location. They took care of my needs, made sure my glasses and sunglasses fit exactly how I wanted them to, and had all the necessary protocols in place to keep everyone safe. Thank you!

I'm a relative newcomer to Rossland Optical, but over the last couple of years, I continue to be impressed by the client care and attention to detail. Pre-sales selection and service is excellent. Dana and her team do a great job of matching the frame to the client. In these trying times they are very detailed about cleaning perspective frames before you try them on and after so no worries there.
After sales service takes it up a notch if that's possible.
After humming and hawing over which frame to choose, I was disappointed and uncomfortable given the over all weight of the finished glasses. I was forewarned that this could be an issue with my prescription but really liked the frames I chose until I had to wear them.

I have been a client of Dana's and Dr. Lee's for about 8 years now and I couldn't be happier with their customer service! I have a very narrow face which makes it hard to find frames to fit and Dana and her staff have always managed to find me the best pair of glasses and sunglasses! Thanks for all your help, you're the only place I'll get my glasses from!

My daughter and I both went to Rossland Optical, My daughter had an eye exam and purchased new glasses and new sunglasses. Dana was great and really helped her find frames that she loved and that look great on her. She special ordered them in for her and it took only a short time for them to come in. She loves them
For me I picked out new frames in a style totally different from what I usually wear. Dana helped me find the right style and size to best suit my face. I have had lots of compliments on these glasses. The service was great and really tailored to meet our specific needs.

I have always had problems with selecting frames. I always make the process long and drawn out, sometimes lasting for weeks. I mentioned to Dana at Inspired by Rossland that I wanted to get frames sooner than later and she got right to work.
Their store was appointment only and was adhering to the safety guidelines. Dana not only was very patient with me as I tried on frame after frame, but she also made an important suggestion to help relieve fatigue on my eyes. I'm excited to get my new stylish frames. I recommend the Inspired by Rossland team for anyone who struggles with indecision with regards

Another wonderful experience ! The quality of service coupled with Dana’s knowledge as a licensed optometrist is simply unbeatable.
My prescription is complex needing a number of different filters (I work in front of a 65” 36” and 32” monitors all less than 4 feet away). I walked in Rossland at 4;30 and literally walked out at 6pm with a new prescription from Dr Lee (who did it for me on the spot) and a new pair of glasses on order ! 7-10 days !

Got new prescription sunglasses and replace my old lenses with ones to work on my computer and desk. The difference is incredible, everything is much clearer and easier to read, love my new sunglasses! Everyone at Rossland Optical are professional and great to deal with!

I first entered Rossland Optical over 20 years ago with my son as a little boy. I can't begin to say what wonderful and amazing service Dana and her staff have provided my family over the years. Our family has always felt such a warm welcome entering your store Dana. You provide above and beyond exceptional service. On the advise of Dana over the last few weeks, she suggested I try new lenses for my sunglasses, I had a favourite frame I wanted to keep. Dana, I absolutely love my new sunglasses.
