The North Shore Music Academy is a non-profit society incorporated in 1996 dedicated to excellence in music education for students of all ages on the North Shore and Vancouver Lower Mainland. Our students participate in various local music festivals, our summer chamber music program and receive excellent rankings in RCM examinations.

We welcome adult students for private lessons (beginners or those with previous experience). All of our faculty members have music degrees from universities or teaching/performance diplomas from conservatories such as the Royal Conservatory of Music and are professional performing musicians with many years of teaching experience.
Services
Group Theory and Music History Classes are offered in preparation for RCM examinations. Each class has a maximum of 5 students and provides a fun and supportive learning environment with individual attention. Early registration is recommended. Fees: Students should register for both semesters of 18 weeks each.
Many of our students compete annually in local music festivals (North Shore Music Festival, Burnaby Festival on the Lake, Kiwanis Music Festival and Vancouver International Festival of Russian Music) and have won trophys and achieved first place and gold standing. They have also successfully completed Royal Conservatory of Music examinations with first class honours and first class honours with distinction.

The place is old and depressing. I don't know about the other teachers, but Alexander, who teaches the piano wastes your money. He doesn't give much feedback, and keeps making you repeat pieces to waste time.
