Having built over 150 units and managing hundreds of suites, Podium understands condominium living. It's your condominium; it's your home. The Podium team works with owners and residents to build a cohesive community within your corporation. From annual maintenance plans to shoveling snow, we cover all areas of condominium living so that you can enjoy your home and your community.

Our company has been in the residential condominium management business for ten years. We manage a diverse portfolio of properties, ranging from an 8-unit townhouse configuration to a 154-unit, 12-storey high rise apartment building, all in HRM.
Services
Podium Properties' core team is a group of dedicated individuals, experienced and professional, with a shared commitment to providing superior customer service, to working with the dynamics of each Board of Directors, and to paying close attention to the needs of all our clients. Tony is the President and Senior Property Manager for Podium Properties.
Although many property managers hold condominium funds in their own accounts, we establish separate accounts and signing authority for each of our clients. We regularly scrutinize published bank service fees and interest rates, and work closely with local representatives at financial institutions to achieve the best combination of benefits and services for our clients.
We have established preventative maintenance programs for all our properties, taking into consideration a monthly inspection of fire safety and emergency equipment, regularly scheduled maintenance on elevators and overhead doors, and the annual inspection of fire alarm, sprinkler, and back flow prevention equipment.
Domvista Condominiums are located only 20 minutes from the Halifax Stanfield Airport and Downtown Halifax and only 15 minutes to the Burnside Industrial Park and Dartmouth Crossing. Choose a central location and affordable investment alternative to rental apartment living in the popular community of West Bedford.
The Brickyard condominium property is comprised of 42 "stacked" townhouse units, 14 units in each of three different buildings, located at the corner of Maitland and Cornwallis Streets in downtown Halifax. This has been a multi-phase project, resulting in unique architectural features on each building within the property.

Rude, poor communication skills and terrible service. Refusal to communicate with owners in a timely manner. Employees have a major attitude problem. I've had employees get angry with me for no reason. Not impressed with Podium.

Very professional and responsible. I had a water leak in my unit and emailed Tony Hall, the property manager, at 1:30am and he responded within 2 minutes and figured out a plan right away! Podium Properties, under Tony Hall’s management has totally transformed the establishment.

Podium Properties is very slow to deal with routine maintenance issues, many of which relate to building integrity. They do not respond to emails from concerned residents in a timely fashion, and sometimes, they do not respond at all. They fail to maintain important records such as meeting minutes and AGM records for residents to review.

Property Management needs to take a course in proper communication / how to relay relevant information to residents. They like to send out useless memos regarding inclement weather (we can all go to the Environment Canada website ourselves), yet won’t notify residents ahead of time to expect loud drilling noises at 8:30am, or why there will be drilling.
Residents are left in the dark about what essential maintenance work on the aging building has been planned (i.e. falling shingles? Perpetually flooded courtyard?)
They also like to either victim-blame, or don’t respond at all when one resident

Podium Properties does not care if dogs attack each other with no response, no rules. Beware the elevators, the common spaces, dangerous dogs are allowed to attack your dog, even if its a service dog, with no repercussion. Disgusting.

Management was awful, didn't respond to our calls. Dangerous dogs in common areas. No rules. My family's dog was attacked. They were totally unresponsive to a dangerous situation with our family service dog. Never stay at a condo where Podium is the property manager.

Discriminates against people with disabilities, especially the blind. Feel free to contact me for more details. I have plenty to share. I've never gone out of my way to denounce a business until now, because I believe this business violates human rights and freedoms of people with disabilities, and Podium Properties deserves to be recognized for that.

Allows dangerous pets in buildings. Completely irresponsible company that shouldn't be in business. If you avoid this company and its properties, you're doing yourself a huge favour and preventing a mess of lawyers and headaches.

This company is unprofessional to an extent that residents feel unsafe in their own home. A guide dog was attacked by another dog in a common area, and there has been no response to this critical incident by management. The other dog still lives in the building and there have been no repercussions, meaning that someone with a vision impairment is fearful to leave her place and encounter this dog and their owners again. If you value safety, integrity, and professionalism I highly dissuade you from living in a residence under this property management company.

I have good friends who live in one of Podiums building in Halifax. Recently one of them, who is blind, was attacked in the lobby by another resident's dog. Specifically the dog attacked my friend's guide dog. The incident shook up both my friends and the guide dog. When brought to the attention of Podium, they advised my friends and the other residents (whose dog attacked them) that they should keep their dogs separated. As a result, my blind friend is not using elevators and is terrified to walk the hallways, lobby or common spaces in the building for fear of running into them. They work at home

Very Concerned with a matter of safety for fellow resident. Safety and well-being protocols of residents should be the number one. Lack of action and concern In this matter is forcing me to act on a poor review. I have zero tolerance for this lack of follow up. Thank you.

I'm a current resident of a building managed by Podium. I wish I wasn't.
Their treatment of people with disabilities is appalling, especially the blind. Podium does not protect service animals against violent dogs which they allow to be kept in the building. Company should not be in business.

Living in a condo means not having to take care of things like garbage pickup, snow removal and all those things that go bump in the night. At least it's supposed to be that way. Unfortunately, more often than not, it's always more complicated, and more of an issue than you'd like.

Unless of course you live in a property managed by Tony and his crew at Podium Property Management. They are awesome! We've had furnace malfunctions and flooding in the basement from heavy rains and yet, everything is fixed in no time flat. A phone message is responded to within 5 minutes
