Services
Blue Sky Animal Hospital is proud to serve the North Bay, ON area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Bob Porter, who is a licensed, experienced North Bay veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
At Blue Sky Animal Hospital we strive to ensure that your pet remains happy and healthy throughout its entire life. Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.
At Blue Sky Animal Hospital we are proud to offer routine and post operative therapy for your beloved pet. Our four legged companions are no different than us; they can pull muscles, injure joints, and have chronic conditions related to injuries. We employ the use of a therapeutic laser for a variety of conditions ranging from orthopedic to skin to abdominal disorders.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Extreme emergency cases (i.e. an animal is hit by a car) shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. 3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Blue Sky Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program.

Our puppies recently went here for their first shots and due to a scare with one of the puppies. Everyone there was so friendly and kind, the vet was beyond amazing with the puppies also and very informative on the things we should do with them and what shots we should get, ect. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants your animal in the best hands. Thank you from all our animals and me

Great service and care for any family pet. Dr.Porter saw my cat the same day I called, we were new clients and my cat was very sick. My cat's previous vet(located on Cassell St.) couldn't see him for another week, even though it was an emergency. And then the 4 other veterinarian offices I had called before Blue Sky said that they weren't taking new patients(they have waiting lists just like a regular general practitioner.) My cat needed to stay at the vet's office for 2 days before he was 70% better and released. That just shows the care they have for animals and their understanding of how emotionally
