Islington Golf Club is a private club founded in 1923, during the "Golden Age" of golf course construction and designed by renowned architect, Stanley Thompson. Surrounded by 6500 yards of golf course parkland in Toronto's west end with Mimico Creek winding its way through tree-lined fairways, the club is a wonderful place to enjoy a day on the links with family and friends.

Best private course in the West End of Toronto. Amazing patio and views from the Club house towards the west down #18 or onto #10. All greens are PGA style, hard and fast, the rough is tough. If you can par #10 (a 200 yard plus par 3 with a sloping green) you are an exceptional golfer. Hit 'em straight.

My car felt a little out of place parked between a Lexus and Mercedes and among all the other luxury cars in the parking lot.
The employees at Islington Golf Club and the Golf Shop are wonderful, hospitable people. And they clearly know a lot about golf, without being condescending.

So this review is for their food at the main dining hall. For the most part, I don't really agree with the concept of exclusive golf clubs that once excluded people based on race and religion, but as my in laws are active members, I of course, graciously accepted an invitation for dinner. This Is my second visit and I've noticed that they upgraded the facilities and it has more of a modern feel as opposed to the old decor which made the place feel stuffy. Now with oak, modern fixtures and clean lines, the place feels airy and sophisticated. Service was on par ( of course!) and the food
