I have been using Vacation Time to rent a cottage for 4yrs now and Laurie/Melissa are a pleasure to deal with and make my annual planning so easy. Pick up and drop off of keys is well organized and they are always quick to respond to any issues that may arise during my stay, although I can say I have not had many, as the cottage is so well maintained. My kids refer to the cottage as “our cottage” because this is how the whole experience makes you feel. Thank you for your great service over the years!

This agency in my opinion choses profit over safety.
I rented the cottage on Brandy lake and a couple of days before my departure the friend of mine sent me the link of muskoka news warning against swimming on brandy lake due to algie problem.
I called agency to investigate on my behalf but they acted as no big deal. I called simcoe-muskoka health unit according to their advice but the algie issue grew even larger. Not only it was unsafe to swim at this cottage due to proximity of algie bloom, the health unit also warned

Since selling our family cottage many years ago my family has been renting in the Muskoka area. I have had nothing but great experiences with Melissa and Laurie at Vacation Time who have helped me find the right rental property for my needs. We have dealt with many other rental companies in Muskoka and found Vacation Time to be the absolute best. Laurie and Melissa are extremely knowledgeable about the area and do their best to find the most central location to our projects. We rented a cottage for a 3 day weekend with Vacation Rentals, and their customer service was great. They took care of everything, forwarded our questions to the owners several times and put us in contact with the house keeper for last minute check ups and doubts. We celebrated our small wedding in the cottage and everything was perfect. Cottage was exactly as described, and it worked perfectly for our little ceremony and gathering. I have no doubts that we will do ‘business’ again with Vacation Rentals.

We have vacationed in Muskoka for many years -- renting a family property that was finally sold - so we had to find a new vacation place. Our first experience renting privately was a nightmare. The renters advertised the cottage was on Lake of Bays -- and guess what, it wasn't. It was on a very tiny lake outside Dorset.
So we decided to rent through an agency and were pleasantly surprised with Vacation Time Real Estate. We found the website quite helpful with it's search capabilities and our rental was exactly as pictured -- beautiful. We were so happy we rented the same property for three years
