Flour Child Bakery is committed to offering delicious baked goods made in the great European tradition - always fresh and always from scratch, and made from fresh ingredients. Flour Child Bakery opened its first kitchen in Burlington, Ontario in 2017 after acquiring the assets of Sylvia's Bakery. We continued their tradition of selling at local farmers' markets.
In early 2020, my dream came true with the opening of our first storefront location on Plains Road in Aldershot. As a small child, I knew that I was truly happy when I was in the kitchen baking with my mother. I remember watching her make shortbread, and as I got older I was allowed to bake with her.

Services
We are seeking a part-time baker who will be responsible for baking fresh loaves of bread, prepared pastries, and setting out baked goods for selling day. These will be early morning shifts, from Thursday to Saturday. Gem of a bakery. Tried a couple different kinds of stuffed croissants and all were excellent. I was surprised how well balanced the "apple almond" & the "spinach feta" were in particular. I found the Eccles cookie a bit on the sweet side but very well flavoured and a fun crunch on top. Last but not least, a smooth and delicious cup of coffee, soo good.

I went into this bakery a little over a month ago but I will say that it was such a lovely experience! I came here on recommendation through a Facebook group because a few people raves about this place and I totally get why. It was my first time in and I did not know what I wanted or what they even had available but the girl I had helping me was such a pleasure to deal with. She was so patient and super happy to help. She recommended and a few things and I loved every single one of them! I don’t know what it’s called but it’s like a sponge cake from there and it was absolutely delicious and

We have tried the sasauge rolls, chocolate croissants, Chelsea buns and lemon poppyseed mini loves and we ordered a cake for Mother's day. Everything has been so yummy! The cake was awesome! Not like typical grocery store cake that is always too sweet. It was amazing! Not too sweet, the icing and filling was so good, we can't wait for the next one! Everything is fresh baked and delicious! You will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend!!! BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE EVER! A huge thank you to Maria and her staff for the amazing custom birthday cake they provided for my chocolate-loving friend’s, 50th birthday!! I don’t usually eat cake and I had two big slices - we all did!! P.S. Like croissants?? So far I’ve had the blueberry, chocolate & cheese varieties and they too, were amazing!!

Yesterday was my first visit to the bakery. I am so excited Aldershot has such a wonderful addition to the neighbourhood! The sourdough loaf and croissants we bought were amazing. Definitely will be coming back (weekly!). Prices are so reasonable.. I almost feel you should be charging more for how good they are! Thank you!
