We offer three part-time programs that encourage our students to discover their individual strengths at their own pace. As a cooperative, parents participate in the daily activities and running of the school. Our classroom contains various play stations set up with a variety of activities, crafts, textures, and toys.
We also utilize a seperate gross-motor activity room filled with large play/climbing equipment. Our teachers are registered Early Childhood Educators and have over 25 years of experience working with young children. As a team, they share a passion for providing an inclusive program for all children.

Services
As a co-operative, the school excels because of the participation and enthusiastic support of our members. Parents participate in the running of the school. Our goal is to broaden each child's learning experience through play, music and crafts. Individuals learn to co-operate with others, make friends, understand differences, share thoughts and toys, and take pride in their unique accomplishments.
A co-operative is a non profit organization run on a voluntary basis in this case by the parents of the children enrolled in the school. As a co-op the school excels because of the participation and enthusiastic support of our members. Parents participate in the daily activities and running of the school.
I am currently the supervisor of GCCP and have been part of the dynamic teaching team since 1995. I bring laughter and humour to early childhood education through play. My extensive experience with children and families allows me to gracefully and professionally meet the needs of each individual. I have worked closely with Speech Pathologists in social group settings, and bring those skills to the program.

Both my kids attend GCCP and they both really enjoy it! When I ask them about their day, they describe all kinds of wonderful activities that they participated in. The teachers are excellent and the volunteering involved let's us experience first hand how a typical day goes. Excellent place for kids and highly recommended!

Both of my children attended the Glen Cairn Coop Preschool and I cannot say enough about how excellent it was for both of them! They transitioned to full day Kindergarten seamlessly the teachers are absolutely amazing and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children to learn at their own pace...LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

The school was recommended to us from a friend. Once we went in to visit with the teaching team at GCCP there was not a doubt that we wanted to our daughter to be a part of the community. GCCP offers a unique… environment where the parents have first-hand experiences with the school and the other families- we recommend the school to anyone that is looking for an organic, engaging community for their first schooling experience.

The teachers at GCCP are amazing. They are so patient and caring. When I drop off my son at preschool I know that he is in the best of hands. His days are filled with learning and laughter. I love getting to be a part of his education and with the support from his wonderful teachers I know he will be ready for kindergarten in the fall.
