Ever since I first walked into Pickering Optical about 12 years ago, I have not had reason to go anywhere else for my entire family's optical needs. Mariam (the owner) is extremely personable and has an excellent understanding of the trends and ability to make the best recommendations. And she does this with a lot of patience and a smile. Even after moving out of Durham, we keep making the drive back to Pickering Optical and Mariam for all our RX and sunglasses. I have now gone to Pickering Optical for my glasses 3 times. Every time I have been everyone has been extremely helpful. Even when I broke my glasses, the associates went above and beyond to help find the same frames for me. On top of that, the prices here are virtually unbeatable. I would highly recommend!!

Since moving to Durham my family has been purchasing our glasses and contact lenses from Pickering Optical. I have to say, I am probably the most indecisive person you’ll ever meet. However each time I’ve had to purchase new frames, Mariam has gone above and beyond to make my experience not only a comfortable one but I always walk away extremely satisfied!
