A cozy and appealing restaurant in the heart of Barrie. 147 Ristorante offers excellent food, generous portions, and at mid range prices. The Fruti di Mar was my favourite main dish. It is not only flavourful, but I can say for the first time ever, I was unable to finish the portion. I discovered it tastes just as good if not better as a leftover. The Capri salad was also a hit with me. Once again, generous portions of cheese made this a winner. The grilled calamari was done to perfection. The daily specials are also worth a try. Fish and meat dishes especially. I have been there several times

Maybe we will give it another try. Made reservations for my birthday for 2. We were sat at tables I don't think should really even exist because of how NOT great they are. We were so distracted by servers and people constantly walking by an inch away from our side because we were sat in a high traffic area. It was right up against a wall in the middle of the restaurant. It was not a comfortable place to sit at all. Food was good, caprese salad was mediocre with little balsamic, found the ravioli bland, the lasagna tasted good. The redemption was the taramisu and wine. That was the most delicious

The first dish I ever tried was the Frutti Di Mari, and it is honestly the biggest pasta dish I have had in awhile (unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture of it) and it got me coming back to this restaurant. There is also a wide variety of seafood in it. The waiter recommended to go with a mixture of white and tomato sauce, and I am glad I listened!
What I love about this restaurant is that they don't compensate quantity with quality. Waiters and waitresses here are also very welcoming and attentive. See y'all again soon!

Atmosphere was comfortable. First time there and enjoyed the food immensely. I had the Sea bream special with the shrimp and my wife had the Salmon, both were delicious. The crispness of the skin on the fish was done perfectly. The vegetables and rice that accompanied were fresh and cooked perfectly. We were there for our anniversary and were given complimentary champagne, which was a nice touch as well. Thank you for making it a memorable evening for my wife and I. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had fun at this restaurant. We sat outside on the sidewalk patio. Due to covid procedures, not much tables inside. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff were fantastic. The presentation of the dishes were beautifully done, the aroma mmmm so gwud, so much texture, and layers of flavor. Yummy goodness😋 Thanks Maria our waitress. And thanks Joe from upstairs for buying us dessert 🍨 The washrooms are clean and bright. The restaurant have a dim light atmosphere with nice ambiance. Located near the lake.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at this fine Italian restaurant. We spent the night at a local hotel on our way to a weekend in Muskoka. The food was amazing drinks were on par with excellence but the highlight of the night was superb bartender Foti
.
Being Italian, I appreciated the kind of service and attention this great young man gave us. He is a throwback to the days of old and while we don't spend much time in Canada I suggest anyone passing through stop by, because they will not be disappointed
