When I first moved to Halifax as a poor student they did a repair for free on the spot and only charged me for the part.
Been going there since 2017 for parts and they always have a great supply. Recently acquired another vintage road bike and they did an amazing job fixing and tuning it up! Rides so smoothly. I think its cool that they have taller vintage road bikes for sale from time to time as well. I took a trainer and my bike to Long Alley Bicycles.

Check hubs/tighten cones, true wheels, clean rims/deglaze braking surfaces, brake inspection and adjustments, derailleur and shifter adjustments, inspect and tighten BB crank and headset, check chain and drivetrain for wear, safety check all hardware, check pedals for tightness, inflate tires to proper pressure and inspect for wear, wipe down whole bike, inspect and lube cables and housing, remove curses, and then double TEST RIDE!

I’m writing this review 30 mins after my 1-2hour interaction at this store with conflicted and mixed feelings. Firstly the star rating I have given are not a fair representation of the store as a whole but it is as close as I am comfortable giving (2.5 is more accurate). Super quick service for cheap. They take good care of your bike too, so if they notice any essential issues other than why you brought it in to them, they'll fix it up. Brought my bike in to get a new inner tube, and they had it fixed up before I got home. They were generous enough to pump the tires for me aswell, which was fantastic. These people work hard and it shows. Will definitely bring my bike back here if needed (although I'm hoping I won't have to lol)

Great work, quick turnaround even during a busy season. My bike needed a ton of repairs; figured out everything quickly, was able to ballpark a near perfect estimate. Educated me on some aspects of my riding that would keep my bike in better shape longer. All around excellent shop. Thanks for getting my baby back to me!

Came here based on a recommendation from a friend. Was very pleased right from when i walked in. I mentioned right away that I was looking for a low end bike that would be easy on my pocket book. I felt like they treated me as if I was buying the most expensive bike in their shop. Talked to me about what I planned to do with it. Then showed me one they hadm walkwd me through what was good about it. Talked to me and showed me how shifiting the gears went. Highly recommended I took it for a test drive to see if it felt right. Not only was the customer service great, but they went above and beyond to get my bike ready ASAP. Even after I made a mistake on my part, they were understanding and kind. The service was cheap, and my bike came back beautifully done, safe, and working smoother than when I first got it. I recommend this to anyone looking for bike help.
