Dion grew up on the BC North Coast in Prince Rupert. Moving to Victoria in 1989, Dion studied at Camosun College and articled at the accounting firm, Firth & Stouwer. Dion began public practice in 1990, attaining his accounting designation in 1994. Since then, he has worked as an accountant in the greater community, serving on audit and finance committees for various non-profit organizations.
Dion has offered seminars for the Bookkeepers Association as well as owners of small businesses and rental property owners. Owning and managing his own accounting firm, Pomponio & Company, Dion is kept very busy. However, Dion also dedicates time to volunteer with the homebound, youth, and other groups in in the local community.

I first contacted Dion in August 2020 and after about a hour call, I felt understood and that Dion was a good fit. He assured me that while I was still a new business and small, that they would be able to help me not just manage my business, but help it grow and see what opportunities were available.
Four months went buy and I realized I hadn't heard anything. I followed up with Dion and the person assigned to my file to see what was going on (up to this point, all that had been done was shared my access to my QuickBooks account).
After two weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed to close my account

I like Dion and how he approaches everything. I am recently self-employed and his team does a good job. I am currently having a corporate tax return, as well as my self employment and personal tax return being completed and happy with the attention to detail. They help educate you throughout the process and allow you to handle as much as you wish on your own to be reasonable with pricing. Very trustworthy team.
