I am a new client of Hamilton Prosthetics and recently had a B/K leg prosthesis and an AFO for my other leg made there. I have been an amputee since 1979 and have lived in cities in Ontario, Manitoba and BC – so I have had experience with numerous prosthetists over these years. Additionally, I have complex needs due to a lack of sensation in my residual limb and a really challenging fit to achieve a proper alignment. Hamilton Road Prosthetics has the most incredible quality of prosthetics and orthotics. Personally I have been a customer of Jim, Doris, Shirley and Joe since 2005. They have given me the gift to walk now with 4 prostheses and 2 sets of orthotics these last 16 years.
You won't find a more professional, efficient, intelligent, knowledgeable and kind group of people to help you get your life back. I lost my lower right leg tragically and thought my life was over. My wife has been an amputee since Oct. 2018 and she was lucky enough to meet Shirley at the Parkwood Institute for her first leg. Every experience with the entire team from Hamilton Prosthetics has been fantastic. They take so much time and care to make sure your leg fits properly with no pain. My wife had a couple of issues with her latest test leg and all it took was one phone call and we were booked in to see Shirley to have everything resolved. I have a bunion that has slowly gotten worse over the last 15 years and finally decided to go to get an X-ray done on it. I saw an orthopedic surgeon at Victoria Hospital who recommended I first try orthotics before looking at an surgery options. I was referred to Hamilton Prosthetics and met with Shirley. Shirley was very knowledgeable and helpful in assessing where my pain was coming from. I received my orthotics about a week and a half later that she fitted to my new balance shoes and so far they are great! I have far less pain in my bunion and feel much more balanced when walking/running. I

For the past 2 years I've dealt with ongoing sores and debilitating pain. Having dealt with 2 Prosthetists in the past I just thought that’s the way it was. Thankfully, I paid a visit to Hamilton Prosthetics. I was so impressed by the amount of time, effort and attention to detail they spent on helping resolve my issues. Within 2 weeks of getting my check socket, the sores were completely healed and I was able to walk without pain. My quality of life has never been better. I've been a amputee going on 5 years now and I have had over 7 different leg sockets in the past and could never seem to find comfort.
In 2020 I decided to leave my current prosthetic service provider in Windsor and drive 2 hours to visit with the Hamilton Prosthetics Team (BEST CHOICE IN 2020). Right from the first phone call with Joe it was a completely different customer experience, he was very helpful & knowledgeable on the products and services they offer, he even sent me Web links after my first appointment so I can educate myself on my own time with all the new options available for me

Apparently you can only write 1 review on Google so I'm writing one here as well:) I think it's important to acknowledge the work they do. After dealing with them for about a year, I'm still amazed by the amount of time and attention I receive. Everyone there is truly committed to providing the best possible care for each and everyone of their clients. I live in Cambridge but I'd drive twice the distance to deal with them.

Hamilton Prosthetics has the best and most prompt service any amputee could ask for! They offered me the most up to date prosthetic designs component choices and materials. I have never received this level of service at any of the other prosthetic suppliers I have been to. I am a young active man, I wear my leg for 14 hours a day and have never had any issues with the fit or function of the leg since seeing Shirley. The whole team is always friendly and empathetic with addressing my concerns and scheduling demands.

I cannot say enough about the quality of care and support you receive here. Shirley and her whole team are fantastic, they make you feel like you are family and want the best care for you. I was sent here by my Orthopedic specialist and it was the best move on his part. I’m now in my new foot braces and i almost cried i seen myself walk straight for the first time in my life. Jim and his staff are really great. I have had a few AFO's made through them and each time I am very happy with the result. I have to come in on occasion to have some extra foam put in or a strap fixed, but that is just from normal wear and tear and they are always able to fit me in last minute. I would highly recommend this place.
