Before "Vista 18", our rooftop restaurant was called the "Parrot House Restaurant" in honour of a parrot. Louis was his name. Like the restaurant, he had a splendid view. Louis' view was natural for someone who was both rich and famous. Some years ago, he was quietly removed from his private estate out of a somewhat controversial situation to a place of seclusion where he quietly enjoyed the remaining years of his life.

Built in 1975, Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is a locally owned and operated full-service hotel located in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC. The hotel boasts 177 guestrooms, including 59 traditional guest rooms, 110 deluxe suites, and 8 penthouse suites. The hotel is known for its stunning rooftop restaurant, Vista 18, and Clive's Classic Lounge located off the lobby (2019 Top 10 hotel bars in the Americas by Tales of the Cocktail).

The Chateau Victoria provides spacious and affordable accommodation in the heart of downtown Victoria. Suites are our speciality! We offer 118 suites in a variety of layouts including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and executive (many with kitchens). We also have 59 Traditional Rooms on lower floors.

Our Traditional Rooms are located on floors two through four. These stylish rooms offer two queen beds or one king bed, with modern duvet blankets and high thread count linens. Updated bathrooms feature granite countertops and Tyneham luxury bath amenities. These well-appointed rooms are ideal for business travellers who want to be walking distance from downtown offices.

Our spacious and tastefully furnished One Bedroom Suites are located on the 6th through 15th floors. Available with two queens or one king bed, these attractive suites have separate sitting areas, a wet bar with a microwave included, and walk-out balconies for your enjoyment. Several are available with a sofa bed should you require the additional sleeping space.
