This studio has a sense of community! Low cost , $5, classes on weekday mornings. Calm, serene studio where doing " your own practice ", with or without support from the yogi-instructor.
The space is clean, light filled and has everything you may need to deepen your practice. Bolsters, belts, blocks, blankets. Yoga mats are available for rental or you may bring your own and even store it there!
First visit, today, and Caroline was amazing! She had me doing things that I had never tried in my practice, class was concentrated on shoulders, without strain on the wrists! A novel approach

Having never practiced yoga before, I started at Akasha 2 years ago and have maintained a consistent practice ever since. My experience has been so positive that I feel emotional contemplating this review. The teachers have an abundance of positive energy that will quickly melt away any fears you may have about trying this out. I would recommend going at least 3-5 times and try various teachers to fully appreciate the life-transforming gift that this studio has to offer to you.

I came to this studio while I was on vacation in Montreal and I really loved this space! Staff was extremely friendly and our instructor was great. Studio was spacious and clean, there is a waiting room area with water and also lockers. The studio itself is very beautiful. If I'm ever in town again I will definitely return.

The studio is nicely lit and conveniently located on Notre Dame. Both teachers that I've had so far have been really fit and inspirational.
I've been taking "Yoga 1" and it's a little difficult, definitely not gentle yoga, but very doable for a motivated beginner and you can alter the pace to your liking. They also play ambient music during the session and there is a short meditation at the end.
I have since downgraded the difficulty level to their newest class "yin yang" and it's 75 minutes long and not as intense but still a real good workout. I feel
