Stock In Trade
A little about us. We are passionate about butchery, food and culture. Our ethos is about using only ingredients that reflect our appreciation and respect for everything gastronomic. All of our meat is from small local farms that steer clear of short cuts, and are committed to the process of raising and caring for their livestock with dignity.

They never use any hormones or antibiotics. Non of the feed is ever genetically modified. We in turn do our best to honour that relationship by using hands on, time honoured preparation - using hand saws and seam butchery techniques in lieu of ban saws and machinery. Our chickens, pork and beef come in whole (or as large pieces as we can carry!).
Services
Founded by Jason Becker, Stock-In-Trade delivers years of experience sourcing, preparing, and serving properly raised, hormone and stimulant-free meat. We always look for ethically sourced meat and seafood and strive to ensure we provide our customers the best quality service and locally sourced products.
In separate pot, simply pour in ramen broth and bring to a boil and then lower to a simmer. The cooking instructions are - preheat your oven to 350, bake pie from frozen for 60 - 85 min depending on the oven strength. When the pastry is golden and the pie filling g is bubbly pull from oven. Let stand for 10 min before cutting.

Just discovered this butcher and am delighted. Fantastic selection of regular + interesting cuts of super quality meats, incredible sandwiches and rice bowls, and looks to have every pantry essential including Mexican and Japanese.

I walked past this place so many times wondering what their sandwiches taste like. I finally decided to go in and get one to try.
I got the pastrami with sauerkraut. It was a good choice. It was loaded with a decent amount of meat and sauerkraut. The mustard and pickles complimented the sandwich.
Very tasty. It didn't last too long though as by the time I got home with it I was hungry.
I would go again to try their other sandwiches.

Just stopping by to leave my thanks for a wonderful experience and praise for the work you guys do. I have not ventured to stores much since the COVID situation escalated in Toronto. However, on Canada Day my friends hosted a barbeque in their backyard, with the Stock In Trade Apple Bacon sausages on the menu. I instantly fell in love (so did my husband). Though I live in North York, I considered my afternoon trip down to the shop a worthwhile use of my time.

Not only are the sausages delicious, the staff is very friendly (I was helped by an incredibly personable guy who was sweating buckets but

Amazing. Best sandwiches we have had in a long time. It is clear a lot of care and attention is put into their food preparation. Will be returning.

Absolutely in love with this place. I've lived close by for so long, and don't know why I only ventured in today- it's like the best kept secret. It's a small butcher shop, that offers sandwiches, bowls, etc. I got the pastrami sandwich, and my partner got the meatball (both served on their baked in store bread). Loved how soft and jam packed with flavour the meat was, and the addition of the pickled onions was mouth watering. While we were waiting, they offered us samples of their salami and pastrami- we ended up getting some of their salami (made with beer) to go, I highly

I absolutely love this place! The service, meat and food quality is always among the best you can find in the city. Definitely amongst the best on the east end!

The meat selection is never huge but it's always a great selection of very fine meats from local and sustainable farms. Their aged meats are unreal and their house made pates, sausages, burgers are always incredible. Their ready-to-eat bbq chicken is also super juicy and flavourful (not to mention it's a normal sized chicken).

I'm also a regular to their amazing made-to-order sandwiches and rice or salad bowls that often

This review is solely about their sandwiches. The sandwiches are big and loaded and sure to satisfy any appetite, but if there's a "but" it's that they seem to be constructed without much thought given to the act of actually eating a sandwich. They are tasty, to be sure, but you'll want to grab extra napkins, because you will absolutely be making a mess.

They have started baking their own focaccia bread in house, and I'm sure it's fine as focaccia goes, but it's not great as sandwich bread. The sandwiches are a mess to eat. The bread is unyielding to the

This is a local butcher with great staff. Not only are they friendly, but they are also quite helpful and accommodating. Their meat is fresh and local. It is a regular stop for me. I have also been having their salads regularly, including their take-out menu items.

I tried Stock In Trade for the first time today after having an eye on it for quite some time.
I just finished a pastrami sandwich ($10) and it was absolutely delicious. An employee recommended pastrami, I cannot say I have ever had a pastrami sandwich before, but this was the best one I have ever had, it was delicious, so much flavour I had to crack a beer with my lunch. Cole slaw and pickles with an aioli, it was exactly what I was craving & I will definitely be back soon.

I adore a good sandwich and here they do it right! Menu changes daily, good for those who like surprises. No seating so purely take out. Nice clean store with no unpleasant odors. Fellow in the front carving up a carcass so vegans you'll definitely want to avoid this store. I felt that I stepped into a man cave kitchen.

Hubby and I tried the following:

-Pork Pinbone (a type of cut) Steak Sandwich - this is the kind of sandwich you can really sink your teeth into: savoury, succulent with wonderful flavors in a delicious artisan roll that is sturdy enough to contain it all. Not a dainty

A great neighborhood meat place. I don't know why it took me so long before I stepped into this place. The guys here are hip ( also cool), knows their meat well and always delighted to give recommendations.

Downside is, it is abit pricey compared to your typical butcher store. But the meat is fresh and definitely comparable to Sanagan butcher in Kensington.

They also rotate their sandwiches weekly. All good and worthy of the thumbs up.

Stock In Trade might not be everyone's favourite sandwich shop, but they sure are my kind of butchers. I don't come here for anything else but the sandwiches, which are huge, loaded with meat and toppings, and very fresh.

They prepare everything out in the open, serving some sandwiches hot and some cold. I never know exactly what they're gonna have on the menu which is part of the fun for me. Located on the Danforth, I always look forward to a nice walk through this neighbourhood after devouring a satisfying sandwich. The dudes here are friendly, helpful and passionate about meat

Love this place. It's a hip little butcher shop. Everything seems to be local. Staff is super friendly. They have a wide array of custom sausages and the best bacon I've ever had. The actual 'block' is right in the front window so sometimes you can see them going to town.

They also do these little supper club events, which I am not foodie enough to participate in, but appreciate that they do it.

Plus they have these fantastic $7 sandwiches that are always amazing. I don't know why you'd go to Subway down the street when this is right here.

Stopped by to try the sandwiches with a few friends, and we all enjoyed it. We got the porchetta and pastrami sandwiches. Both cuts were fairly fatty, but in a good way. But if you don't like fat it might not be your thing. The only thing that would have made the porchetta sandwich better would be some pork crackling.

The sandwiches are done on half a baguette, and there aren't a bunch of frills, or sides, but well worth 6 dollars. If you are looking for an affordable lunch or dinner on The Danforth this is it.

I've been told they also have someone breaking down cuts of meats in
