Our Team Report

Dr. Dilbag Rana has been a veterinarian since 1983. He bought the practice in 2001 after having worked here. His special interests are internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, small animal endoscopy, ultrasound, clinical pathology, and dentistry. He did his MVSC in Pathology and attended Purdue University in the US for a year-long externship.

Called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Front desk staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long to see the vet, he was awesome. Thorough but didn’t try to upsell. They all handled my cat with care gave her excellent treatment and being a first time cat guardian he gave me a lot of helpful information. It’s a bit of a drive from home but worth it! They also do a lot of work with animal rescue organizations. Tip* make an appointment earlier in the day so you’re less likely to be kept waiting. If you’re looking for a new vet I would give them a chance

TERRIBLE, absolutely terrible and unprofessional receptionist. I asked if I can bring my pet bird in and she said we dont take birds and as I was talking she hung up on me.
I called back many times and she would pick up and hang up the phone. This was on dec 17 around 8:20 am. So so so unprofessional. Dr. Rana repaired a primary cleft palate & lip on one of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppies. I was so impressed with Dr. Rana's skills, experience and results, words cannot express how grateful I am for him and his staff. First of all, let me start by saying, when I find something great, I want to share it; whether that is a product or a service. The same is true when I find the opposite. In this case...Do NOT take your pet to Apex in Langley! If I could give zero stars, I would. They are not professional and I felt very rushed. They do not provide quality care by any means! I had taken my cat in and asked them to take a look at his ears to make sure he didn't have mites or anything like that, and I asked them to clean his ears. They said, 'We don't do that'. Dr.Rana and his staff at Apex Animal Hospital are amazing!!! When my flop ripped off her dewclaw several weeks ago they got me in immediately!!
Today my bunny Max has his second cancer surgery in 2 months ( he’s adopted and about 8).
Dr.Rana doesn’t price gouge and makes EVERY treatment affordable!! Can’t say enough good stuff about this clinic, only wish I had heard of them earlier before I lost my Flemish to giardia when she wasn’t properly tested at another vet on King George Hwy .

Dr. Rana, Stephanie, and the team are just wonderful. My poor rescue hedgehog’s eye enucleated (he’s been with me for a year and I don’t know much about his medical history) and he needed eye-removal surgery and they were so understanding and efficient, even when I was so sad and upset, patiently explained everything, and even phoned me back when I had follow-up questions after 7:00 PM, which was so nice and made me feel more confident. Our 4 year old Bulldog was born at Apex Animal Hospital, and has lovingly been cared for by Dr. Rana ever since. He has been under anesthesia 4 times, and we have always had full confidence in Dr. Rana’s care of our dog. It's a convenient location right near Willowbrook mall (plenty of parking), and they treat exotic animals like guinea pigs... Mine is feeling much better by the way. However, it's not normally a quick visit (not for me anyway) so plan plenty of time waiting just because they ARE busy.

Dr. Rana and his staff are all amazing. He is very knowledgeable and our Havanese x poodle just adores him very much. He takes his time in explaining the vaccinations that are required and follows up to make sure all is fine the day after. I first found Apex Animal Hospital when our cat was hit by a car. Dr Rana was very kind but straight forward on telling us what it would take to fix the cat and that even if they did surgery he probably wouldn’t make. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. It was just before closing and they stayed open just for us. I now take my 2 cats and French bulldog to him. If a problem comes up and I don’t have an appointment they usually fit me in somewhere in that day.

DON'T GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A BIRD. My poor parrot had been throwing up all night, took him there because it was the only clinic in the area that apparently treats bird. Our first experience with Dr. Rana and Apex hospital came at a stressful time. My then 6 year old Pitt bull cross was hit by a car and was suffering. I was bringing rescue dogs here because they came highly recommended by a very reputable rescue (who no longer comes here) As well many other rescues also began coming to this office from the same recommendation.
