Services
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

Thankfully went to other dentist as they found a cavity had not been fully removed before filling was put on top, resulting in further deterioration of the tooth and a more intensive filling being required. also, routinely told me my wisdom teeth were coming in fine, only to find out all were impacted with one going into my jaw bone. Part of my jaw bone had to be removed to extract the tooth.

One of the best dentists in the city. My entire family has been coming here for over a decade and love Dr.Chu. He”s always friendly, kind and never fails to provide us the best dental care. We started coming to southpointe after one of our neighbours (a retired dentist) recommended him to us as he is a patient a well! Don’t stop being awesome doc!

I phoned their office yesterday morning because of pain from swollen gum, spoke with Agnieszka who kindly helped me get in touch with Dr. Chu (Thanks so much Agnieszka). After exchanges of emails, Dr. Chu was able to alleviate my dental situation.

A few years ago I needed a second opinion on a tooth and came in to discuss with Dr Chu. Consensus was that I didn't need a crown suggested by the new dentist at the office I'd been visiting for decades. Dr Chu did find that a 30 year old filling was cracked and needed replacement. We booked the appointment and the procedure was painless. Our entire family has been moved to Southpointe and we have been extremely happy with the service.

Although I've been to the dental office many times throughout my life, I had my first painless dental cleaning with Tasha. She was amazing! Tasha was pleasant, super attentive/careful (always checking up on me to ensure I was okay) and very informative (she taught me how to floss properly!).

The staff over at SPD have been great to me for 10+ years I've been their patient. Even though I live in Vancouver now, I still come back to see them for my dental work. Dr. Chu and the rest of the staff have been nothing but friendly, professional and accommodating to my many dental needs. Even when I'm in town for a week just to visit, they're always able to help me out even when time is tight. I can't recommend them enough!

We have been attending southpointe dental for many years now. The staff is always friendly, professional and accommodating. I love the email reminders for appointments, it makes the process so easy. The hygienists have been fantastic with my children and myself. Their hours are perfect for our busy family. I would highly recommend this dental office for your entire family.
