Pegasus Restaurant
A well known name to local Greek food aficionados since 1983; when the doors first opened at the original 14th Street and 11th Avenue SW location. Pegasus is proud to continue its ongoing commitment to serving authentic Greek cuisine prepared in the traditional manner. We prepare our dishes the old fashioned way, from scratch using quality ingredients.

For over 30 years we have partnered with Kalamata Greek Grocers, importers of Greek staples: Olives, Feta & Kefalograviera (Saganaki) cheese, Tahini, ine leaves, phyllo pastry. For over 30 years we have been proud to serve our traditional recipes, in a comfortable dining room with a Greek atmosphere and we've been named by many of our patrons as the best Greek food in Calgary.

Had dinner here tonight for my birthday. Probably our 15th time eating here since it opened forever ago. Still as excellent as first time and will come more often. The Moussaka is the best I’ve had. Great service and atmosphere. Thanks again Pegasus!!

It has been many years since eating at the Pegasus restaurant; the last time was when they were still on 14st SW. It was always our go-to Greek restaurant until they moved (as did we) and we were excited to order online; we decided to pick it up ourselves to make certain that it arrived as quickly as possible. When we opened the take-out containers as soon as we arrived home, the food was barely warm and the presentation was terrible. Either they were having a bad night, or their standards have slipped; in either case, I cannot give a higher rating than 2 stars for this particular experience. We

Haven't been since they moved to Altadore. Seems like the same menu from decades ago. Lamb skewer was chewy like leather so was the grilled calamari. The rest of my party had a variety of complaints. The service was sub-par. I used to love going there. I will definitely go back because I am sure they can do better. They were known for great Greek food.
Please step your game up.

Came here for a date, from the outside it looks a bit run down and my date thought it was a bit sketchy but we were extremely happy with the food. We got some calamari and pita bread to start. The calamari was unfortunately a bit bland for my tastes but the pita bread was warm, fresh, and delicious. She had the chicken souvlaki with rice and lemon potatoes and loved it. I had a bite of her chicken and it was perfect. I had the brizoles (lamb shoulder chops) with a salad and Greek fries. The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked and I couldn't get enough of them, and the lamb was utterly delicious

Absolutely delicious. Everything we tried tasted great, and all of it together was a delicious meal. The food was hot, the wine was delightful, and we made room for the dessert. The service was warm, friendly, and exactly what you would look for in a family restaurant where you just feel welcome. Will enthusiastically go back.

Ordered grilled calamari and tyropita (3 cheese filo pastry) for take out, just to add something different to our dinner. But oh they were soooooo good! I want to go back and get more of those cheese pastry, maybe keep some in my freezer too?

We ordered our food through Ubereats. The food was an hour late, but the worst part is not even that. Please see photos - food leaked everywhere, salad is missing, the food got here cold, the portion size is ridiculously small for the price, and it doesn't taste good at all after reheating. Needless to say, I am cooking instant noodles as I type out this review.

The food was delicious. Most of us had some sort of lamb. They were all tasty very flavourful. Owner and staff was very attentive and nice. Can be a family get together or a date night kind of place. Will definitely go back.

Always good. Always delicious. It’s a lovely family run business. The service is always exceptional. Great to go with a group so you can try more and the atmosphere... my daughter says “it’s so cozy”. If you feel like Greek, it’s worth going and priced much more reasonable that other spots.... with authentic Greek food.

Pegasus is a Greek Restaurant that had a booth, once again at "Taste of Calgary" this year as they do most every year.
This year at "Taste of Calgary" they served:
- Homemade Yogurt with Honey and Walnuts
- Lemon Oven Roasted Potatoes with Tzatziki
- Spanakopita with Tzatziki
- Keftedes (Beef) Meatball Slider with Tzatziki
- Roast Leg of Lamb Slider with Tzatziki

It is obvious they are a greek place with the tzatiki that they serve with everything but tzatziki is amazing. However, I noticed on their menu that they are not very accommodating to food allergies. They have many

I eat a lot of Greek food so when we moved to Calgary I immediately wanted to check out Greek restaurants to establish a go-to. I am not sure that Pegasus is the one but it might be worth another visit.

Our party of 4 started out with an appetizer platter consisting of tyropita, spanakopita, calamari, feta, hummus, tzatziki and pita. Everything was excellent except the calamari which was underdone and the pita which was fried and therefore greasy.

I was the only person to not order a lamb dish and went for the chicken souvlaki. The accompanying Greek salad was outstanding but my souvlaki and

I grew up coming to this restaurant. Takis, the owner, is one of the kindest and most hospitable people I've ever met. Our family would come in for dinner and he would always greet us by name, hug us and come sit with us and catch up. The restaurant was always full, and he would still always make a point of doing this. Amazing man.

The ambiance - truly Greek. I love it. I have vivid memories of coming here and seeing belly dancers while we ate, watching people sip their flaming ouzo, and parties with people dancing and singing. So. much. fun.

As for the food..this restaurant single

Out nd about and craving something tasty and thought of Pegasus. Haven't had Greek in a while and was really looking forward to some savory garlicky goodness. The location is perfect for those in South Calgary as a great neighbourhood eatery. It's in a small strip mall with a liquor store, coffee shop, beauty salon and gym. They have a nice outdoor patio area and they have it sheltered from the parking lot which is nice as it's right on the front of mall area. The menu itself is small but gives the right amount of variety and hit all the expected Greek dishes. We opted for the

Ah, Greek hospitality. Takis (the owner) greets you as though he's welcoming you into his home. To start, we ordered the saganaki cheese, fried in a skillet and flambeed as it makes its way to the table, and spanakopita. For our main dish we shared the Pikkillia platter, which included an assortment of moussaka, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), prawns, salmon, keftethes (meatballs), and brizoles (pork cutlets), served with Greek salad and tzatziki. Everything tasted so good!

Hands-down, this is the best greek restaurant I have ever been too. The food is sooooo good, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Our food came out within a timely manner, and was absolutely delicious. Their pita bread is made in house and is extremely unique. The calamari is big and perfectly cooked. The saganaki is to die for. I can't wait to go back again. Their entrees are a little pricy, just because they aren't huge, but the tapas and appies are really reasonable so if you get one of those and then an entree, you're all set.

I can't wait to go back again

I dream of the Saganaki cheese at Pegasus. After being fried, the cheese is flambéed at the table and served in the pan. If you visit I highly recommend trying it with plenty of lemon. I usually accompany it with a selection of appetizers or follow it with lamb souvlakia.

I visited the old location on once or twice and I was optimistic when Pegasus moved closer to my home. The building in Altadore has a bit of a sorted past and restaurants operating in this location did not hold my attention until Pegasus came along. Now I regularly visit this family business.

I've given it five stars

I chose Pegasus based on the positive reviews but what a disappointment! The portions were tiny compared to what we're used to from Greek restaurants. Low marks for quantity and mediocre in terms of quality. Service was fine but on the slow side. The popularity of this place is inexplicable!

I honestly liked the quality of food and a soft spoken, polite service.

I did not like the amount of time needed to get the food on our table.

Portion size was very decent, and and chef's work was impressive. A little bit not exactly the way I like it, but that's just my taste, no biggie. Honestly good food.

The place is tiny, though, so if you are going to check it out in a big company - book ahead or you'd be in trouble!

Compared to the total Greek awesomeness like Calypso Tavern, Pegasus is definitely a step behind - yet it is a nice place, absolutely worth visiting.

I've only been to a couple of Greek restaurants (does Opa! count?) so I wouldn't really know the good ones from the bad ones. What I do know is that I had a nice meal and a good time at Pegasus.

We went for my sister's birthday, who is notorious for picking culturally diverse restaurants on her special day, and I was pretty skeptical because I thought I wouldn't know what to order. Luckily, my Dad was smart enough to order a bunch of appetizers for us all to try and helped me figure out what I would like best. I forget what the dish was called, but goodness gracious was
