I have only positive experiences with Salon130! I love my balayage and colours done by Caroline and Desiree. They also care about the health of your hair which is a huge bonus especially as someone that switches between blonde and brown hair each season!

Excellent service... Very clean and punctual... I got a hair cut and Advance treatment done... Myra was excellent with her work... I think finally found a place worth my time and money... the treatment felt so good and Myra worked so well in styling my hair which were so rough and damaged... My hair feels absolutely amazing

To be honest my experience didn’t even start for me to have any kind of service from Salon130.
I booked online for an appointment that was at 3pm and later on I received an email saying its at 3:30pm with Myra.
Later on I decided to double check my appointment by calling the salon just incase the appointment is in fact at 3:30pm.
When I called the salon, a lady answered me saying the appointment is at 4pm. The fact that there’s this much disorganization was already a red flag.
Later I said that I am new to Ottawa and she answered by saying that in order to hold my appointment, I have to

Originally came here on a whim while I was visiting Ottawa on business. Now I live here and go to Desiree every time! She did a great balayage & purple fashion colour and just recently chopped a decent amount off my hair. I will continue going there, it's always a nice outing. I would recommend taking a bus or uber instead of trying to find parking!

EDITING TO ADD: I've just returned from a different salon where they were able to fix my cut and create the exact look I wanted within about 30 minutes, so while I appreciate the owner's reply below, I will not be returning. I do also have some difficulty believing neither of my emails were received when the emails I've sent to the salon in previous years have gone through fine, but I suppose that's neither here nor there.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Visited Salon130 for a partial balayage and cut with Vince late Friday evening and it was undoubtedly the best hair appointment I've ever had.
I have a tendency to get very nervous about haircuts and this was my first colour ever. Vince was nothing short of incredible, he was friendly, but patient with my nervousness, he was attentive to what I asked for, and kept me in the loop about what was happening to my hair in each step of the process. I really appreciate that he was not only amazing at his job but he was honest and unapologetic about what looks good and what doesn't,

Went in for the first time for a simple cut with some layers with Angie and had a great experience. Booking the appointment by email was efficient and the staff got back to me very quickly. The salon itself is small but they use the space well and it was clean, bright and nicely decorated. I showed Angie pictures and described what I was looking for and she was very attentive. She even gave me suggestions as to how my hair would be shaped best. About a year ago I went in for a balayage and came out with yellow bleached hair with absolutely no blend and basically a solid line from brown to yellow-blonde in my hair. It was very rushed and she only blow dried half of my head before saying she said she was "all done!!". It was nothing like the photo I showed her and she told me to come back in if I wanted it like the photo I showed her... after she was done and realized she messed up. I'm only bringing myself to writing this now because it has finally grown out enough to look reasonable. Ruined my hair and I'm way to scared

I went to Salon 130 for a formal blow dry and curl for my graduation pictures. After several unfortunate experiences getting my hair done I did a lot of research to find a new salon. All of the good reviews I read on Salon 130 were absolutely right! I had such a wonderful experience and the staff were very friendly. Jenna did my curls and they turned out beautifully- just the way I wanted. I could not recommend Salon 130 enough and will definitely be returning!

I love this salon! Shannon colored my hair (corrected my grays, added partial balayage) and Michelle cut my hair afterwards into a long bob..... I love my cut and color! The stylists all work as a team and are a very talented, committed bunch. You won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back again!!!

My daughter and I found this salon as part of an Elite Yelp event. It's located downtown, so handy for people working there. The stylist did a styling session with the attendees and it was a lot of fun. Everyone was wonderful.
My daughter really liked the stylist she worked with and has continued to go to see her - Shannon. She's very happy at Salon 130.

Unbeaweavable! - see what I did there? I'd better "cut this short" (that one was accidental). Great haircut at Salon130! Very pleased with the work. Not one of those annoying places that asks for you to make all the judgement calls "by shaver number" to get a cut!
The staff at Salon130 are just wonderful - very welcoming. As a guy going in, you're not going to walk in and want to "curl up" and "dye" (hehehehe). This place is guy-friendly. That's right, feel free to walk in confidently boys- this place has a modern/"clean-cut"

I do not like to write reviews, however, upon reading this person's review, I felt really frustrated.
I have been a client of Michelle way before she opened Salon 130. I never had any issues with the service or my hair. Michelle and her team takes their time and get things done right. They are friendly, welcoming and straightforward. That being said, they will tell you if something that you want done will not fit.
The price is very reasonable here. The more you want done the more you pay. That's how it works everywhere.
