At this time, Fady is no longer accepting new clients. After 30 years in the industry, Fady now accepts appointments for his existing clientele solely on Tuesdays, while mentoring the Hair Junkie team full time. Since moving to Laurier Avenue and initiating the Hair Junkie brand, he has been determined to spend less time behind the cutting chair and focus efforts on implementing his business model.
His mandate has been to provide support by nurturing and educating the stylists, the backbone of the salon. Facilitating courses, offering individual mentoring, providing incentives and instilling a creative culture are key factors in the undertaking of a venture like Hair Junkie. He would say it has been a group effort and the bustle of the salon floor would testify to the success of the program.

New Client Appointment Policy:All NEW client colouring services will require a $100 deposit to book an appointment. Any cancellations made before 48 hours of the booked appointment, your deposit will be reimbursed. If you cancel within the 48 hrs, the deposit will be paid to your stylist in full for compensation of missed appointment.

My usual hairdresser was on vacation, so after doing a little research I decide to book an appointment with Midg for a haircut. They were so wonderful and fun to talk with, and I had such a great time getting my hair done by them! If I ever need an emergency-haircut again I'll for sure be back. Thanks for the awesome haircut!

This is the third salon I've been to get a flattering cut for my wavy/curly hair and this is the first time I actually love what I got. Midg did an excellent job! They fully considered what I wanted (i.e. maintaining length) and gave me lots of advice and tips on how to style and take care of my hair. It was very clear that they're well-versed in curly hair and I'm looking forward to my next appointment.

I recently had my first appointment at Hair Junkie with Liz and loved it! The salon is impeccable and everyone was friendly and professional. Liz was explaining what she was doing the entire time and checking in to make sure that I liked my new hair cut. At the end, she also gave me styling tips for my new curtain bangs. I definitely recommend checking them out!

I have dry curly hair and have experienced a couple of disasters at other hair salons. I specifically asked for a stylist at Hair Junkie who knew curly hair, and was not disappointed. I left with a great cut and a nice purple streak in my grey hair. My stylist gave me lots of great tips about caring for my hair. All of the staff were polite and professional. The salon is very clean and follows all COVID protocols. I highly recommend it!

Hair Junkie is an amazing salon! The staff are friendly and organized. Their stylists are talented and very personable. They are very transparent about pricing (everything is clearly laid out on their website) and I've had great experiences with them over the several years that I have been going there. Emma is a wizard with colour and truly one of the most talented and friendly stylists I've ever had. Expect high quality service and amazing hair if you chose this salon!

Ive been here twice, mind you the two appointments were at least 5 years apart, thinking my next one would be better! Nope, had a horrible cut and wanted it fixed by Vincent! they couldn't see me again the same day. Booked me for the next day, I wasnt able to make it as I wasnt feeling well. They wanted to book for a saturday which was 3 days away. Never ended up going back as I did not trust them to do any better even if they tried. Thumbs down!! My stylist did not listen to what I wanted AT ALL!!!!

My stylist was Grace, recommended to me after using their website's email option, I asked for a stylist who was familiar with curly hair. She cut my hair dry to start, continued to ask me if it was to a length I was happy with (I needed a trim but was trying to cut off as much dead ends as needed without losing too much length), gave me the bangs I wanted while still checking that it was to my liking the entire time. Once we moved on to the washing, wet hair touch up, and styling, she kept teaching me different techniques with tools instead of pushing any products on me. It was overall a fantastic

Midg is an AMAZING stylist, as well as an all around great person. I've been to see them twice for a cut and then a balayage and I've honestly never loved my hair so much. I have difficult hair; it is thick and… frizzy but Midg just knows exactly what to do. You can tell that Midg truly cares about making you feel great about your hair. I am already looking forward to going back :) THANKS MIDG FOR MAKING SURE I NO LONGER LOOK LIKE LORD FARQUAAD! 👏

I never did many changes with my hair because I'm self-conscious about it and had a few bad experiences in the past. But when I met Emma, I felt I could trust her - and I'm so glad I did. My stylist did not listen to what a wanted at all. I asked for a balayage and showed her a picture of my ideal cut and color and she ended up almost dying my hair completely yellow blonde except save for my roots. Looked like I just dunked my hair in bleach. I asked for layers with face-framing pieces and she basically gave me a lob. There were splotches all over where it would be blond and then a stripe of brown (my natural hair colour) where she clearly didn't apply any bleach. I went back and asked her to fix it and she tried to argue with me and say that this is what I asked for and only

Amazing! I recently moved to Ottawa and was hesitant to find the perfect stylist, but did. Julianna was fabulous! She was welcoming, confident, and professional. I trusted her without knowing her - so happy! The salon has a great layout, friendly service, and was very clean. The offering of food and drink was a great gesture! The first time I went to Hair Junkie I had an unpleasant consultation with one of the stylists and decided to look for a new place.
I randomly decided to try it one more time and this time I met with Helen and she did an amazing job on my hair. She was extremely thorough and communicative with exactly what she was doing. Her work is perfect and she is an awesome person to spend time talking to. I was really happy with Helen's work!

Had a great haircut by Fani today! The lighting is very harsh, so at first I wasn't so sure on how it was looking, (tip: don't judge a haircut till after it's finished.) but as soon as the cape came off I just loved it. Everyone has been complimenting it, and Fani did a great job at giving me a haircut I love.

I went to Hair Junkie during the week for a lunch hour blow dry since I had an after lunch event happening at work. I had called and asked if they had room at 1pm and if they could fit me in for such a service. I work only a block over so travel isn't an issue and asked how long the blow out would be. They said no more than 45 minutes. PERFECT!
I showed up about 10 minutes before my appointment and was asked to take a seat while I waited for my stylist. I waited and waited and waited. I waited over 25 minutes

The same person has cut my hair since I was a little kid, so when I moved to Ottawa finding someone new was intimidating. After a bad experience somewhere else, I took a friend's recommendation and visited Hair Junkie. Now it's my place and I'm always recommending it.
I've seen two stylists here, and both did a wonderful job. I see Naj now because he cracks me up, I have fun visiting.
Stylists are priced based on skill/experience if I understand correctly, so they can accommodate a bit if you're on a budget.
