Designing and creating beautiful backyard getaways has been the passion of Hollandia Pools and Spas since 1950. After immigrating to Canada from The Netherlands, John Guldemond started a small business based on his family's roots in landscaping. John grew and sold plants but soon his modest company expanded to accommodate customer requests for designing backyard pools and in 1950 Hollandia was founded.

Hollandia Pools is a privately held company, incorporated in the Province of Ontario in 1953. The company was started in 1950, and is one of the oldest continuously operating swimming pool construction companies in Canada. Since its inception, the company has been involved in the design and construction of hundreds of successful commercial projects.
A sanctuary of blue water, rock gardens, fountains and flowers is tucked away behind many London homes. Unfortunately I would not recommend Hollandia Pools & Spa to anyone looking to have repairs or construction work done. After SEVERAL (over 9 months) of communicating back and fourth with this business to try and book an appointment to have a simple, yet critical, issue with our highly intricate pool repaired, we have not heard back from them. We have been extremely proactive and patient in trying to book an appointment with this business - connecting very early in the year, updating credit card information, phoning, emailing….& we have had no luck. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating

Very poor customer service. Doesn't call you to let you know they messed up an order or when its coming in if its delayed to take responsibility. Doesn't clean up when they leave. Store manager isn't willing to account for errors and correct poor customer service. If they break something on your property while installing your purchase, they don't fix it.

We have a 30 year old pool and have used many different pool suppliers in town. Hollandia’s staff seem very knowledgeable and we trust their recommendations. When we get our water tested, they rarely tell us we need to buy more chemicals which seems to happen elsewhere. Their staff are friendly and the store itself has seats for you to comfortably wait while your water is being tested. If you are lucky, you can even get some free fresh, popcorn.

I was doing a large 80K reno to my backyard concrete pool and initially tried to use the construction dept of Hollandia for repairs. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I should have known better from the three telephone calls it took before anyone would call me back. They upsold and overpriced the job by DOUBLE what I eventually paid a very competent pool company. I always felt I was an annoyance in trying to give them tens of thousands of dollars worth of business, always bragging about their big commercial jobs. Had them install a pool and spa last year. They were in and done in the exact time frame they promised at the outset of the agreement, and were in constant contact with me throughout the entire project. I felt completely assured things were going to plan throughout the entire process. I would recommend them to family and friends (all of whom enjoyed my pool throughout the entire summer!)

Caution when paying a service company upfront. Hollandia Pools requires payment upfront by Visa. This unfortunately leaves you no recourse when they show up for service, does not fix it but leaves your spa in worse condition and won't return your calls. Do not expect to be treated well by this company.
