The concept for Alma was developed while I was living in New York City. Between commuting, working all the time, and simultaneously going to school for my MBA, I was very short on time. The one thing I made time for, besides occasionally working out and Friday night dinner, was a bi-weekly pedicure at my neighborhood nail salon.

I went with my mother for a manicure and pedicure. I like how this spa uses natural products without harmful chemicals. I find it pricey for what you get compared to some other places around. I was frustrated to find that all my top three choices for nail polish they no longer had, despite having swatches for them. The lady that did my manicure and pedicure was excellent. The lady that did my mom's manicure and pedicure seemed to be new and less knowledgeable. The manicure turned out nice but only lasted about a week, before chipping badly. The pedicure is still going Strong. Overall I recommend

The Owner reached out to me after my experience and it turns out the person who did my pedicure was new. She offered me a complimentary pedicure which I accepted. The lavender pedi was excellent and the experience was what I had hoped for the first time around- generous foot massage, and perfectly painted nails.

My mother and I came in for mother/daughter pedicures. My mom is allergic to most scents, so the natural products used were perfect. The practitioners were very gentle and professional in their treatment, and lovely and polite in demeanour. And as a bonus, it was close to shopping and the movie theatre at Yonge/Eglinton! I highly recommend Alma Natural Spa

Thought I should finally leave a review for this place! Discovered Alma a few years ago and the rest is history.
I'm not the type of person to get my eyebrows done regularly (maybe once every two months), but whenever I need my eyebrows threaded I come to this spot. All the staff are super sweet, efficient & professional, just totally lovely people through and through (with a lot of knowledge about their products!) Plus the service itself is just phenomenal; I can usually just call in and book an appointment the same day. I've even run late a few times and they've still managed

1. SERVICE: Always friendly, always fantastic. The receptionist offers me tea when I walk in and get settled. They have a nice assortment of loose leaf teas, and you can get them iced, or latte-d.

I got the Lavender Luxury Pedicure and thought it was just ok. As someone else said in their review, it wasn't the service but the products they use. My esthetician was great, really personable and even though I was late, I still was able to get the full treatment and she did a great job on my toe polish...they look great.
I gave 3 stars because it didn't necessarily feel like a "luxury" pedicure. The salt scrub was actually too course for my liking and the natural wax (paraffin alternative) they used didn't seem to penetrate the skin except to leave an oily layer

I like that all the products used here is all natural. I love that they serve you tea while you get pampered. It's a little pricey if you dont get a good aesthetician. I got a mani and pedi, she didnt clean up my cuticle well. I had to tell her a few times she missed a spot and im not really that picky. I got home and realized my index finger has an obvious flap of cuticle sticking out. Not happy with the work i got. I do not recommend Natasha, nice girl but messy work. She didnt wrap my feet properly and when i got home Pedi is all smudged.

There's a reason why this place gets such good reviews. I've been meaning to try them for some time because I liked that they use non-toxic products (I didn't even realize that was a possibility with polish) but didn't want to spend the extra cash.
Well I finally tried it (went with the Lavender Luxury manicure) and it was totally worth it! I find the space really cute and cozy as well which further added to my experience.
Peggy did my nails (5 days ago) and I can't believe that there are still no chips! I would expect that form Shellac but not from this non toxic

Ahh.. just had a relaxing massage here. It wasn't with the RMT; I just wanted a good old inexpensive foot rub and scalp massage to help me get through the last few weeks of pregnancy. It was good that I actually fell asleep a few times! The only thing that woke me up was my own snoring (x4).
Everyone in the spa was friendly. The music was nice and relaxing. The place looked clean.

Small, pleasant, laid-back atmosphere. I liked the colours I chose for both fingers and toes, although the selection is smaller because they use only selected lines that fit their non-toxic model. I was disappointed to learn that their massages are not RMT, therefore cannot be reimbursed by insurance, and I hope that they are soon able to offer that service.

Highly recommended. Great staff, quiet environment (they played Norah Jones for instance), and everything is non-toxic and safe.
The prices are higher, yes, $35 for a pedicure seems like a lot, but it is worth it when your health is taken into consideration. The work is fast, they're eco-friendly and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here.

This place is really the best. These ladies know what they're doing. The space itself is beautiful and calm, with really comfy pedicure chairs. They have soft heated neck pad things, and tea, and while your nails are drying they offer you a quick (and complimentary!) shoulder massage. Don't turn it down -- it's divine.
I took my mom there for the holiday special mani/pedi, which was even more reasonably priced than it already would've been on any other day. (I say I took her, but I just found the place and made the appointments; she paid. Ahahaha muahahaha the joys of coming

I moved to Toronto a little over a month ago, and my eyebrows were in need of some TLC. I was just strolling along Yonge Street today when I found Alma, and I decided to pop in to see if they could fit me in this afternoon. The woman at the front desk (maybe the owner?) was an absolute sweetheart, and set me up with an appointment just an hour later. Kim did my eyebrows, and she was fantastic. She was very precise, but also got the job done quickly and as painlessly as I've ever had. I haven't looked at prices of other salons, but for $17, I was more than happy with the value for
